    New build 2001 Tahoe

The reason I ask is because I want to get a flip out unit. I have read people bending the the shift lever or buying expensive billet replacements. I would rather bend it.

    Best Year Tahoe/Yukon?

Any year with rear barn doors is nice to have. No power option is available for rear lift gate really sucks and the offset rear wiper is ugly. Easy to open/close for the wife and my kids. Which means they don't need my help as I sit on the couch and drink beer.

    CARGO AREA - Storage Bins/Nets

I have a suburban. I removed my factory sub. The tool kit, jumper cables, air pump, and other things I don't need often go in there. First aid kit and smaller items go in compartment on top. Self defense items go under the front cup holder.

two questions about installing a back up camera & speakers

For the door panels, search YouTube. For the rear camera, passenger side is probably easier (even though I did on the driver side). I would route away from power wires. Go up through the bottom of the taillight. Then into the truck behind the rear vent cap. Remove rear quarter panel and run...

    Sound dampening

Thanks for the input. I am doing this to make the truck quieter inside from road noise, no rattles right now. I have a decibel meter and at 65 mph the db level in the car is 90. I bought KnuKoncetpz sound dampening for the four doors. I will install this weekend and see if there is a real...

    Sound dampening

I will be installing sound dampening on the four doors of my Suburban. Will I notice a difference with the doors only and not the roof/floor/hood? For those who have done this, any install suggestions? Thanks

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Where did you order the door handles from?

Squeak/ rubbing from the tire area.

I had a similar issue on my suburban. Drove me nuts. The spare tire under the truck had low air pressure and was squeaking against the frame. Now properly inflated, no more squeak. Same thing happened on my 92 4runner. Felt dumb since I'm pretty good at keeping my spares in check.

That Tahoe is nice. What brand and size wheels are those? Why not debadge the SLT and OnStar antenna?

    Considering selling my Tahoe

I understand the girlfriend thing, but she may have friends for your friends on those college road trips. It's all good. For me, I have sold so many cars I wish I kept but couldn't because I was in school and needed the cash. I know how you feel. School is short term and you will be making...

    02 ABS Module Buzzing

This is a known issue on our trucks. Don't buy a used one, it's going to fail like the original. Rebuild or buy new.

    Front Wiper Arm Adjustment

Damn wiper arms are almost impossible to get off. Also check to make sure the window is closing all the way and the seals are good. Good luck.

    Considering selling my Tahoe

DON'T SELL!!!! It's the family truck. Especially with all the mods and effort you have in it. Also, in college it will be great to have. Plenty of opportunities to use, especially with girls (in school they travel in packs), and on road trips the guys can chip in for gas. You said...

    Clear Corners Not Clear...

If the outside of the lens is fogged, a local body shop wet sands the lenses (no idea what grit) then sprays them with clear coat. The plastic stays clear and protected from weather. He does it with taillights too (no clear coat on headlights). He said the wet sanding and clear coat is the...

    Feedback from tweeters

This could be a Bose specific issue, not sure. Typically this is because of a bad ground. Strange it is only from the tweeters. Regardless, if only head unit has changed that is likely the issue. Not the interface. Since you paid money, make the shop resolve the issue. Quick check would be to...

    Engine whine after amp install

Ground is the key. Make sure the ground connection goes to he chassis like a seat bolt. Some surfaces can be sanded down but still have paint on the other side. The only way to be sure is to test your grounding point with a multimeter.

    02 LT Tahoe Fog Lights

There was another thread about this. I have not seen replacement only lenses. For complete OE look replacements there is LMC Truck, Amazon, and eBay. But it does not appear anyone here has any experience with any of them. I will likely try the cheapest I can find since I rarely use my fog...

Check used car websites like Edmunds. Two known issues are brake pump and catalytic converters. Sorry, don't have a link available.
