What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Wow wish I’d known about this SS brake hose kit before I wasted so much time not using the one I got. These actually have the brackets, and apparently don’t leak. Saw this on LSX Matt’s latest video: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cst-sbh6057/make/chevrolet/model/tahoe/year/2004

    Electrical issues!

door latches are always suspect on these trucks, they have the circuit for done lights etc built in

Hello! And looking for ideas about an issue...

You can remove the ABS computer and resolder all the bad joints. Lots of YouTube videos for that. When my turn signals came on dim and we’re acting weird, I cleaned a pin in the lighting block. It is right in front of the rear tire on passenger side. Replacement is like $15, but just check for...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Finished up my wiper arm repaint that rocket man inspired me to do. They were pretty sad looking. Thought I’d never get the fronts off sheesh.

Ran across a same color hood. My buddy’s was a chalkboard. $50 and took the buffer to it; not perfect, but at least it’s shiny.Fixed his window regulator, tweeter and the other doors handle that broke off. How do raise the hood is front ? “New” hood is slightly lower than the fenders etc at...

Highly doubt bent fins are the cause of overheating, but possible u guess. Pressure test stop guessing.

[Solved] 2000 Yukon XL high operating temp

Borrow a pressure tester from autozone, advance or something. Wry well can be ******* out coolant and burning off without it ever hitting the ground.

Done, except for driving it and checking for leaks after a week or so. Too hot, pool time

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Swapping out diff fluid, since apparently last time my gasket and RTV was too sloppy, and it was wet/seeping. Trying a lube locker this time. Figured I’d do a quick spray of the pitted rusty diff cover, cause why not. Lightly sanded and used what I hand on hand, Krylon all in one primer/gloss...

Bench test any replacement parts before install- I received a genuine AC delco vent valve that was defective out of the box

    Audio problem

Sounds like you blew the surround out of the speakers. Take the door panel off and check.

Have you checked the vent valve or purge valve? Hopefully you don’t have charcoal pellets all the way up to the purge valve. If you do, probably gonna have to end up dropping the whole gas tank to blow out the lines. Charcoal canister might be toast.

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

It was me, just a month or two ago. Yes, they send you a tiny little washer with no instructions. It still leaked for me, PITA to try and get the washer to stay in there and pray it lines up etc. I ended going back to oem for all my brake lines. The center SS still leaked, because the threads...

On a positive note, I found another possible source of an occasional clunk when turning Ive been chasing for quite a while. Slipped some tubing around it to stop that. Hopefully that’s it! https://youtube.com/shorts/b4sdVC66y5w?feature=share

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I’d like to see how other guys managed to fit the little washer in the hose and connect them. PITA up there. Who knows if it was on right when I got them threaded together, it still leaked so probably not lol. One of The threads on the bottom was trash too, so new OEM it was. I hate they don’t...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Wasted 3 more hours on the goodridge center brake hose haha. Still leaky junk. Even with the stupid impossible to seat and make sure it’s in right “fix” washer. New Oem one went on in 10 minutes. Last one lasted 16 years and was still good, that’ll be enough of that for me!
