I can’t say too much longevity wise, but I’ve probably installed over 100 ujoints. Probably around half gm, other half various aftermarket. None of the aftermarket consistently go in as smooth and easy as gm ones. More than a few trucks will have their rear u joints replaced every year or 2 with a cheap aftermarket, can’t say that it’s an issue with the gm ones… now if theres aftermarket ones that are as good I’ve never picked up on the trend.
…I wouldn’t replace it anyway if you’re not having trouble, and to preempt with anything but a gm, I’d circle back to just leaving it alone

You won't have any problems with GM or Spicer. All parts are a choice issue. If true quality is the issue, buy from MFR that did the engineering to soothe your mind.

What are the best reasonably priced u-joints for an 05 Yukon 2wd? There are quite a few available. Don’t want to spend $30 plus on each, but whatever it takes. Mine seem fine now, but closing in on 200k miles, seems like a cheap and easy preventive maintenance item. I’m bored lol. Non greasable are supposedly stronger. If greasable, I won’t be removing the drive shaft to grease them anyway either. Thanks.
