I honestly don’t know what GM or any of the other MFGs limits are…but, what I was told was 1% was in the limits. There is a cost of quality calculation; and if the margins are up on the vehicles, the MFG can afford more defects and more warranty cost.
I agree that they are failing...never said they were not. All I am trying to figure out is what the failure rate is...data I have from people who claim to know, is it is a 1% problem...which may be higher than GM's historic rate...
iPhone autoconnect using Wireless CarPlay never works at startup, was a periodic occurance, but after iPhone update to iOS 17, its a sure thing, 95% of the time it will not autoconnect at startup.
Workaround is:
On Infotainment system:
-Hit Phone Icon
-Select Manage Phones
-Disconnect the...
I don't think these V8's will run @ 100 RPM...or even 300. If yours is idling that low, you best get it to the dealer. Feel iike the normal Idle is 500 RPM, and even this is low. If you feel a stumble, jitter, etc, suggest take it to deler, you have powertrain warranty to 60k/5years
THere is a TSB for this related to the Sunroof drains (see post 5 of this thread)... Ask your dealer to confirm it was applied.

Ok, have only drivien it twice since the update, and it may be a while before I get some consistent drives in.
-Audio dropout seems to be gone.
-Wireless CarPlay not always syncing sitll there -- workaround is disconnect and reconnect via the infotainment unit (been doing this for a while now)...
Hum...did they replace the pinion seal and inspect the rear diff too, or just top it off..if it wasn't the formeer, you are doomed to have it happen again, get water incursion, and ultimately have a rear diff fail...
I was at delaer yesterday, asked my salesman what their fail rate they have seen on the 6.2.
He said the dealer as seen two of them in last 3 years, out of about 300 trucks. One was a Sierra, one was a Yukon. Both were top end/lifters.
His opinion from what they have seen and in talking to...
You hare pushin all my buttons...every 4-5 day's I kick myself for not ordering white...this is my first non-white Taho/Suburban/Yukon...I'm not unhappy, and got the color I got because it matches my boat...but..damn...some days I do miss the white.
Please report after you do. I’m hoping it also resolves the issue w/ Automatic HVAC blower speed
EDIT: I am an the dealer now, they are applying the update...will report what I find.
So, if you havent modified the vehicle at all, and it is still under warranty; then it should be covered under warranty. The factor system should not allow you to blow the speaker by using the factory amp.
Been thinking about this a bit more...are you parking it on a flat surface? If it were on an incline, it may be lowering the front to attempt to level the vehicle...
You won't notice till you get into some not so friendly terrain (Think washboarded gravel roads, etc)..but the LT Premium Smooth Ride is a good suspension too...
