AFM DOD Delete 2015 yukon 6.2

I don’t have personal experience with this, but I’m sure others who have will chime in. I’ve been very happy with my parts (cam, heads, and various supporting parts) from TSP. Yes, you’ll need a new cam, and to program the ECM. So personally, I’d get a tune, and also springs, retainers, wear...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Not sure if you need any info on this, or if I’m too late in the process, but I bought these parts to help with the fan connections: ACDelco GM Original Equipment... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0055AMAWQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Can’t seem to find the pins at the moment.. I’ll update if I can...

Growing up doesn't have to suck

Don’t you have the actual sensor in your rig..? Rather than the “calculator” typical with the GMT900? That’s annoying af that it’s not getting the correct percentage.

    Belt Tensioner

Pretty sure they’re all the same. Flex or non flex. I ordered these, but IIRC, my AC Tensioner was incorrect and had to get a different part.. sorry. Not helpful. Serpentine tensioner: 12609719 AC tensioner: 12580196

EDIT: Helped me decide - went with Denali

Yeah, seems like the new stuff all ends up suffering from terrible quality. In great part, thanks to the unobtainable EPA regulations.

    Differential Cover Gasket/Sealer?

Agree 100%. I was pretty bummed, expecting they made an oil pan gasket, and finding that’s not the case.

    Differential Cover Gasket/Sealer?

Mine is an aftermarket. I wanted the girdle, to hopefully save the rear end from damage, since adding some power. It doesn’t have any sealing provision. On that note, driving in the rain now is a serious pucker situation. I barely get on the throttle, and those rears break loose constantly...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Looks a lot like the stuff I ordered from Amazon August of ‘21. ..and still have not installed.. o_O It’s one of those jobs I want to do, but also recognize the PITA it will be. 50ft PET Expandable Braided Cable Sleeve, Wire Loom Wire Braid Sleeving with 127 Pieces Shrink Tube for Audio Video...

    Differential Cover Gasket/Sealer?

Just get the Lubelocker, they’re awesome. And on a side note, use that Permatex gear oil RTV, for the bolts, and drain.. (I still need to redo mine, as the drain plug is weeping a bit).

    Look Ma!, Another LED Thread!!

So those are the correct bulbs for those listed locations. If you installed the EP29, it looks like that handles LEDs and incandescent. But I’m not sure if the green 194 bulbs you put in were incandescent, or LED? If they’re incandescent, and on the same circuit as the LEDs, there might be a low...

    Look Ma!, Another LED Thread!!

If I read your post correctly, you’re using 194 bulbs, and 2357 bulbs. Those aren’t the same / compatible from what I can see. What do those locations call for? https://www.sylvania-automotive.com/bulb-finder.html Also, would be helpful to know what your vehicle is.

What front diff do I have? (it was swapped from a 2004)

There should definitely be an indication on both the front and rear, as @swathdiver detailed. Or, get the front, then rear up off the ground, and rotate a wheel and count revolutions, as he also advised.

    LIFTERS 08 Tahoe 5.3

https://www.texas-speed.com/p-7379-texas-speed-performance-dod-afm-delete-kit-for-536062-engines.aspx ETA: I’m not familiar with this particular kit, as I have an NBS, but I’ve been very happy with the parts I’ve ordered from TSP. ETA-2: Yes, you will need a non-DOD cam.

But he says the diff was swapped. Just have to find the code on the actual hardware..

    Leak in headliner near sunvisor

You should also be able to track this down yourself using a garden hose. Just hold it over the different locations (while dry), and see at what point the water begins leaking in.

GMT900 front brake upgrade for my GMT821 ... what ELSE do I need?

The calipers should come with the brackets. Do the parts you’re ordering have pictures of the setup?

Radiator fan runs when engine is cold

The GMT800 had efans beginning in the ‘05 model year I believe, for the Tahoe / Suburban / Yukon / Yukon XL. They were also included in the pickups, but not sure what year it started, and I believe it also would depend on the level (1500/2500/3500)

    Rear main Seal

Agree 100%. Hell, I went with the full OE rear cover, with the rear main already installed, to take advantage of one less thing to go wrong with that extensive labor. Worth it..
