What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Thank you very much indeed. I will look tomorrow and inspect the jack situation. Is that picture in the right direction? (bottom down and left and right correct) Because my Jack is installed in the opposite direction, so that the yellow wheel is pointed to the front of the car.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Inspected my jack today and found a strange part there. First thought that was a bent hook, until I saw that this is a special part . Does anyone have any idea what this is?

    Driver Speaker Quit-Where to Start?

well, I find our trucks totally relaxed. When I compare that to current cars. There's always something "binging". I recently drove a long distance with a colleague into a new BMW. There was always a quiet bing. I thought it would notify about emails or other messages, until I asked him what that...

    Driver Speaker Quit-Where to Start?

You can basically have three problems. (in descending probability) e Either the output of your power amplifier or the radio is defective and there is no sound at all. Or your wiring harness to the speaker has a problem. This often happens in the door area, where the wiring harness is regularly...

Replacing front bearings, anything else to do?

That is really dangerous. I had once a Chrysler Voyager with an transmission problem, what i fixed and I saw this car had an overall service problem. The break fluid was dark brown and normalwise when it's new, it's crystal clear. But I wanted to test first the fixed transmission, before I do...

Replacing front bearings, anything else to do?

If only the Pistons are moving rough and the rest of the calipper is good, I have good experience with removing one breakpad. One person then sits in the car and breaks until the pistons are out and on the rotor. Then i press the brake calipers with the help of a screwdriver, which i put in the...

    Right side windows not working

I had the same problem, untill I understood, that if you push the children save switch on the left side, that you as well switch off the passenger front window. Never saw that on a German car. A German wife would tell you some nasty words, if you switch off her window...  It's...

    Driver Speaker Quit-Where to Start?

I had once a teacher which always said: I have more forgotten, than you will ever learn. :Big Laugh: I'm not sure what Radio you have and what is the connector situation at the radio. I would try to exchange right speaker with left speaker on the radio, or at the output of the amplifier, if...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Are you sure that not the belt makes the noise? Normal wise the pump makes the sound when you for example have not enough oil in the system. But then it is equal if you steer left or right. But it is possible that you need more energy to steer right than left for example if you have alignment...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

That's good point. Simply unplug the new sensor and see if you have another error in the error memory. Then you know that you have replaced the wrong sensor. This reminds me of a funny incident. When I once exchanged an airbag sensor on a Peugeot, the software said that the right sensor was...

    Strange creaking noise from brakes

It don't sound like a rotor touching something and the noise is every quarter rotation. That don't fit to problems with rotor. And when it is only under load, I would say: wheel bearing.. When rotors make noise, they do it without load as well, or during brake. But rarely only unter load of...

    Strange creaking noise from brakes

but as @rockola1971 rightly pointed out, this noise is not once per revolution but about every quarter of a revolution. That doesn't really go with splash shields.

    Strange creaking noise from brakes

That is something sometimes very difficult for foreigners, like me, when you speak a language not like native speakers and then you try write about technical issues and looking for words and try to translate that and get totally wrong words. That remind me on a funny scene that I had once with...

    Strange creaking noise from brakes

That's possible... Jack the car, turn the wheel and feel if there is resistance and you can put something next to the wheel, to look if the wheel is out of center or wobble. And wiggle the wheel to feel if there is play in the wheel bearing.

    Lock of rear door failed

By the way, if someone else has a similar problem: You can remove the plastic frame around the pane when you get in at the back. If you can open the pane, it's very easy. There are two plastic pins on the lock of the pane that have a pin in the middle, which can be pushed out from the back to...

    Lock of rear door failed

I disassembled, what brought me more in love with this car. It was very easy to remove the cover and when I looked at the problem there was a strange part, which was stuck in the right lock. It looks a bit like a half nut from an oak, but can be a piece of glue as well. Obviously it fell down...
