I dont see how it would possibly change the angle of the shaft (rubber boot) enough to make a lick of a difference. Im assuming the original one already let loose because the angle is too steep.
I am guessing for that amount of lift there probably should be some type of differential drop to...
I would want to see them in person side by side before purchasing them to be sure all the splines and mounts are the same. Hell, they may be the same damn length.
Also, even if they are longer, i dont think that is gonna prevent that from happening again.
Nice looking ride! 35x12.5/20’s?
I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill. If the vehicle checks all your desired boxes i would have no issue jumping on it. Who the heck knows when another one will be available…if the waiting game happens to be an issue for you.
You may be fine with the 2”. Here is a z71 with the stock wheels with 285/60R/20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, 2” RC lift, and 2.25” BORA wheel spacers. You would probably have a better chance clearing them with out spacers (or smaller ones if needed).
Wish i could give you an honest number, but i cant. I never drive it. And i swapped them out at like 700 miles. I dont think it took much of a hit though.
Didnt know if you had seen this post about this guys setup, so figured i would post it here. Close to the same setup except he kept the factory wheels…

I put 305/45/22 toyo at3’s on wifes high country, fit just fine. No issues with rubbing. However they do not bulge much beyond the wheel really….doubt they would help all that much at curb checks.
Not having a vehicle? You do realize by simply unhooking a battery terminal for a brief moment and reconnecting all is good after that…or dont you?
Im not insinuating that this is “okay” to have to do to a brand new vehicle, but it is certainly worth doing to be able to use your vehicle again.
I have read several people complaining (on this forum) that they have been having issues with theirs (stuck completely deflated riding on the bumpstops) and sitting out back behind the dealer due to not being able to fix it or get parts. So there definitely has been issues, but i think its like...
Without actually looking at the two side by side, i cant actually say all the mounts are exactly the same or not, but i would certainly think they are.
I know it is completely doable with the ram trucks. Have read about many people simply unbolting the air components and bolting back up normal...
Im diggin’ the gmc logos for sure!
Yea, the nittos were fantastic tires. Had them on her last denali in the factory 285/45/22 size. Worked very well in our northern michigan winters, and with over 60,000 miles on them they were still working well and i actually sold them for money haaaaaaaaaa...
