The replacement glass cleaned up perfectly and I couldn’t be happier that I can now see put of my drivers side mirror proper haha. And plus it all works as it should!! It was dirty but a clay, quick polish, and a little ceramic and it cleaned right up. Crystal clear.
Well today was interesting. Riverside pick n pull yard pulled in a silver 2006 Escalade yesterday. So I got down there to check it out. Also been searching marketplace high and low trying to find Escalades getting parted out to find a esky third brake light for one of my clients that I like a...
Dang man that’s some rough shenanigans. Hopefully feeling better happens sooner rather than after for you! Congrats on the kid graduating!! Proud dad moments for you I’m sure!!!
Welcome to the forum!! Hopefully you can get it all sorted out! Sounds like you got a nice rig! The rear air assist shocks are crazy simple to change out and the replacement air assist Z55 shocks are fairly inexpensive these days compared to what they used to go for. They ride really nice on the...
That sucks on the rear defrost tabs. I’m a professional detailer and even on the latest gen SUVs that have a little plastic cover over the tabs where they mount to the glass I’m always extra careful around those because I know how fragile they are….. I’d be mortified to have tell a customer...
I’ve never seen a bench seat for the front that’s heated and cooled. They’re all cloth non power adjustable non heated so far that I’ve seen. I can’t imagine this swap is as easy as everyone is making it out to be based on that part alone.
Yeah the older armada/titan wheels work. Seen a few gmt800s running around on em.
I think the latest gen ram half ton wheels use the same bolt pattern. The center bore hole is a little smaller but I think I saw a guy over on a Facebook Yukon Denali group running a set and it got me thinking...
Yeah. A couple guys had Nissan armada/titan wheels on their tahoes for a bit. There’s a white gmt800 shorty Escalade here in town that has titan wheels on it and I always see it running around.
had a 2001 Durango before the Denali and I discovered the pick a part junkyards back when had the dodge. Even now 9 1/2 years later of owning the Denali I still check out Durango’s in the yards. Came across this guy in the Rialto yard with Denali wheels on its back end. Thought that was...
Pulled up inventories for a few LKQ yards on my route home to see what they had for GMT800s since I had a bit of time late afternoon before the yards closed. Stopped into the Rialto yard which is actually very nice. Well organized and the entire yard is asphalt which is nice as then it doesn’t...
Been dealing with a lot of people constantly wanting me to solve their problems. Super annoying. One of which is the 4300lb sea ray….. getting her up at the beginning of summer absolutely kicked my behind. It was a crap ton of labor and time getting her here and ready to hit the water. And then...
Rackin up the miles and eating up fuel with the Nali. He’s been running hard lately. Running well though despite 203k on the odometer. Worked from home yesterday detailing an antique bronco for my across the street neighbor. Had the hose and deionized water tanks setup. Truck was super dusty...
autowoods is the well known vendor that makes steering wheels like these to match the factory wood grains like the OP’s photo. Not sure if he’s still in business as I had reached out to him about what it would cost for a Denali wood grown wheel back in like 2016 I think. Back then it was gonna...
Welcome from Southern California! Looks like you picked up a nice rig there! With good maintenance these things live long lives! Hopefully that’ll be the case for you as well!
Arnotts are worth their weight in my experience! Even though the warranty isn’t lifetime they still make a quality product. I’d buy them again in a heartbeat for the rears on Z55 optioned 2006 XL Denali. I’d buy the fully factory compatible, electronically dampened variants they make next time...
That Bermuda blue paint is something else man! Like the riptide blue in the Escalades. Such a great color! Shop did some nice work!!! Looks great with the caddy parts as well. Wish I could paint my truck that color. But I’d have to take it all the way apart and do the full body….. thinking I...
