Took a several hour trip in this thing a week ago, used the hitch as a battering ram to move giant oaks logs, and now have it loaded up to take ye ole golf cart to a firework show tomorrow.
Been working on the tune a little more and it’s getting better and better. Not that it was awful but...
That’s the one I bought and it’s for inside the wheel with the buttons. I need the one that attaches to that. Searching this is difficult the words don’t pull up what you want. I’ll see if I can find a pick of it.
I need some help plz, I’m looking for the harness that goes from the steering wheel with buttons to the rest of the truck. It’s a fairly big harness and I can’t for the life of me find an accurate part number. I just spent two hours pulling apart junk yard steering columns only to find every...
Fugly and functional V2 is compete with a turnout/back. I also redid the driver side mid pipe and cut out the V band to convert to slip fit which was a PITA. Haven’t cutout the passenger side V band yet but honestly not sure I will for a long time, I’m beyond sick of exhaust work in this thing...
T
hats kinda what it looks like, I just wiped them down with a spray wax and towel. Didn’t have time to investigate much further and I own nearly no cleaning stuff.
That was my thought, I can’t imagine 5% more eth would cause any trouble whatsoever. It’s like 30cents cheaper than 87 which makes it fairly appealing. Might give it a go next tank.
He will starve
Alright you smart pants people, let’s have a discussion on E10 vs E15 and why I shouldn’t use the E15 although it’s cheaper.
Yes I’m aware 93 is best and that is what a run in the Tahoe on anything other than a pure highway trip. However, for a road-trip where I’ll burn the entire tank at...
I think I shall! Not the D&B tho, I don’t have a tungsten sharpener at home so I keep my tig welding to a minimum.
Not sure why but the exhaust seemed significantly louder this morning, maybe something got loose, maybe my hearing was trashed yesterday after listening to headphones for three...
After somewhere between 69 and 420 exhaust setups I’ve learned a little bit about exhaust lol.
Forgot to ask in the earlier post, do y’all think I should add a turn around to the point down? It would hang below the frame but that would kinda be the point, get it pointing out and away from the...
New muffler setup complete and quiet, if you don’t count the v band leaks. Tucks mostly above the frame rails, yes it points back toward the engine, and yes it’s single 3” if the cutout is closed. However, I’m pretty stoked about it.
People keep buying me weird outfits and these little things that kinda look like a plumb-bob but I think they have a different purpose. Anyway, no one will buy me Tahoe parts
New y pipe with cutout attached. Used a plasma torch to cut the hole then dremeled it to near perfection. Lots of little bits of sanding the make the fitment good enough to tig. Should be better than the current X pipe cluster ****.
Yes I finished the weld in the third pic, just showing the...
I think I found the source of the rear brake squeak, looks like just the driver side rotor began wearing funny with some larger groves. Also found that the sliders on the passenger side were completely dry, one of which was seized. The bleeder screws on both were completely rusted shut, luckily...
I’ve secretly always wanted one of those trucks, unfortunately they have a lot of issues with the RWS control board or something. That and IIRC the boards are no longer in production and there’s like none in stock anywhere.
Had to go to two different junk yards today to find Rear calipers, I didn’t realize they are such a high demand item at scrap yards. When I did finally find them at an LKQ yard, they were $40 a set!!! After tolls and gas I should have just amazoned a set, or sent the ones I have on the truck off...
