Wouldn't a sunroof reduce the amount of the roof area that could react to pressure?
Do all or some of these models have active noise reduction?
Wasn't there more than one cause attributed to this problem, what about unbalanced drive shafts?
I totally buy the transducer analogy but find it...
Would like to know the physics behind this. How do a few pin hole leaks in a massive positive pressure atmosphere cause variations great enough to be felt in the inner ear.
Send them a bill for 3 hours of what a trouble shooting technician would cost you and don't forget to charge for shop rags. $150 plus shop rags? It's only fair.
There's no hurry slow down. Order in December March is the best month for 4 wheel drive rebates. Take a vacation stay away from this site for a week and pinch yourself if you find yourself thinking about it. I'm not a therapist but I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express.
You really want this car, is it a necessity or is it an emotional need. I get it after being couped up I want a new toy but I won't be manipulated by my emotions or market conditions into being exploited. Someday in the not distant future the time will be conducive to buying or not. I may want...
I appreciate that but I've never felt the need to keep a spare vehicle to replace a new one that is undependable - until now. Days past dealers had loaners, salesmen would take care of their customers and buying a new car was practically trouble free. Today my salesman has retired and the...
That might be a good idea to wait. If the chip shortage abates then we might see a glut of new vehichles making it a buyer's market. But who knows in these herky jerky times though Fed statements seem to lean toward transitory market conditions.
I've anticipated the new platform for over two years and I'm still waiting. It's not just the GMs but all of the new vehicles are full of questionable mandated technology that is mostly unproven for the long haul.
The only safe strategy is to have a backup automobile just in case it sits in the...
Used to be factories shut down for 2 weeks in July to do model changeovers and maintenance. Changes to the line should be minimal since in is still a 2021 with a 2022 sticker on it and GM won't want to lose any production. Perhaps GM wants to put this model year behind them as soon as possible...
I often average over 22mpg highway at 65mph. A recent 170 mile round trip averaged 21mpg counting a city bypass route with umpteen traffic lights. Admittedly I have a light foot and coast into red lights.
I really wanted to go with the Duramax but I make many short hops to town and not enough long trips. Someone posted a schedule of driving to keep these running clean and I wish I could find it.
Finally found it and it is a past post of yours. It's possible I could add some longer trips at more...
I've looked at the three platforms comparing every trim level and option. This is what I've come to now it is a matter of time. What do you think?

Thanks for the revue I'm looking forward to the six month one also.
Those left lane drivers are ultra irritating. The worst are the ones who come up and slow down so that you can't change lanes. After hitting the brakes you can see they are texting away. Nice review!
Hmm, welcoming a new experience. Keeping the new vehicle with DMax for five years would be relatively low risk. Might have to flip a coin, one side is fun and high fuel costs (though $400 a year more isn't much to factor) the other is learning a new technology and relative economy when fuel...
Sadly for my situation I believe you are correct. It would have been great to have had this engine when my work commute was 25 miles each way.
Perhaps by next March the lifter problem on the 6.2 will be solved.
I've been considering the DMax and so far I'm concerned with regen and my short hops to town mixed with infrequent trips. During April through October I may be on the road twice a month but through the winter I drive short errands maybe once or twice a week. Yearly mileage is below 7,000 miles...
That could indicate the rear seal and non-starting issues have been resolved or he just hasn't heard about them. GM truck forums have a little more history on this new engine.
