The area that headers or the stock exhaust drops from the engine bay is in the area of the trans pan which is still exposed because it's not a low point.     hey Matt, do you remember the overall length of that summit cut out? I read somewhere that they are 14 inches long? For whatever reason it’s not on their website. I’m seeing if I can make or find and cut down a shorter one in an attempt to keep the flapper without a bunch of work.
