    I found my dream Tahoe

Mikeyss, Looking good, now to get some more HP out of her.. You can see my mods in my sig, so I won't list them here.. The Nelson Performance Tune is probably close to the BB tune so the following should be close for your Tahoe L9H.. Took the old girl out for a 100 mile Sunday cruise today...

    Brakes & Rotors

I run the Baer EradiSpeed 15" Rotor with Baer pads on my 09.. Stops on a dime!!! If I did not need the extra braking larger rotors give me , I would run the Raybestos R300 Rotors & EHT Hybrid pads.. Thirdcoast

    I found my dream Tahoe

Congrats on joining the L9H club!! Not many of us around. I really like the color of your Tahoe.. Mine is Gold Mist or as the Boss says, "Champagne Silver". I searched for a long time before I found mine and it only had 30K on it when I had it shipped to Texas.. You can see what I have done...

Bilstein 4600's. Who's running them and what's a good price?

I run the Bilstein 4600 on my tow vehicle, 2007 GMC Vortec Max CC and have over 70,000 miles on them towing up to 8000 lbs. often with no problems. They will ride a little stiff at first, but will soften up enough to be smooth on the road. I have also used them on previous Tahoe's and don't buy...

    Tow/Haul Button

MickeySHOE, I am not sure if that is the cause, but the AFM does contribute to enough other unwanted actions within the engine that I decided to find a way to disable it without having it tuned out on a vehicle that is under GM warranty. So I tried on both my 2014 Tahoe & 2007 Sierra and both...

which CAI for my new Yukon Denali 6.2L?

What Sparky said.. run the MIT on all three trucks.. 1-5.3; 1-6.0 & 1-6.2.. I use the dry filter in all of them.. I don't think it makes a lot of difference, but every little bit helps.. TC

    Tow/Haul Button

I know that I have those options as I said in my original post. However, I cannot have the vehicle tuned as it will void the Extended GMPP warranty, and I wanted to see if I could find a more cost effective way to accomplish the same thing by leaving it in T/H mode all the time but if not, I...

    Tow/Haul Button

I am tired of the cylinder deactivation on my 14 Tahoe and was going to buy the Range unit, but thought I would query the brain trust here first. If I use the Tow/Haul mode all the time will it deactivate the AFM function? My 09 does not have AFM since it is a 6.2 which I really like.. but I...

    Nnbs complete front brakes (sold)

What did you upgrade to?? I wanted more braking power after the tune, intake and exhaust mods on my 09 Tahoe 6.2, so I bought the Baer EradiSpeed1 15" Rotors & Pads, F&R.. Big improvement before bedding process and huge improvement since properly bedded in.. TC

My new Denali is back at the dealer for vibration issues

Huge difference in the ride of 22" vs 20". I bet if you change to 20's your ride will get much better as there is more sidewall to help absorb bumps, etc. I had 22's on my 09 and immediately took them off and installed a new set of 20" wheels.. big change.. Anyway, glad it got better. Thirdcoast

My new Denali is back at the dealer for vibration issues

I would put the Goodyear Eagle tires on over the Michelins.. I run the Goodyear Eagle® Sport All-Season Speed Rating V (149 MPH) on the 09 LTZ with the 6.2 since it has some mods and will exceed the standard speed rating and the same tire but the standard speed rating on the 2014 Tahoe which...

    Changing brakes

Since you are replacing rotors & pads, why not do the upgrade to the GMT900 brakes?? It is not much more than replacing with stock stuff and the braking is extremely better. I would use the new Raybestos E3 parts, Front Rotors 580279PER, Front Pads EHT1092H along with the AC Delco PPV...

    Top Speed

The PPV Rotors are 14" Diameter, the same as a stock NNBS Tahoe and the Calipers are where the main difference is, they use a higher heat Silicone seal where the stock is rubber. I know this as I did the conversion on a 2006 to the NNBS PPV Calipers & Rotors. On my 2009 Tahoe LTZ with the 6.2L...

Bought a new Denali and now I'm having buyers remorse

DennisT Thanks for the input, I think I will stay with my 09 as it only has 40K on it and I only use it on weekends or trips.. I do have a 2014 that is my daily driver & a 2007 GMC Sierra VortecMax with 120000 that I use as a tow/work truck. I just took the Bridgestones off of the 14 & put...

Bought a new Denali and now I'm having buyers remorse

DennisT; I currently have a 2009 LTZ with the L9H 6.2 (see sig for mods) and drove a new Denali a few months ago, but did not like the rear seat area because you lost a lot of room without not being able to remove the seats. So I did not buy it.. Maybe I should have as it was a deal $58K with...

Bought a new Denali and now I'm having buyers remorse

Your problem is probably the 22" wheels and the BrickStone crappy tires. I have a 2009 LTZ and changed the wheels to stock Chevy 20" and run Goodyear Eagle Sport V rated tires and the ride is firm but very comfy.. As was said, you pay when you decrease sidewall height. If you look at all the...

    Best Exhaust For Me

To start off, I have a 2009 Tahoe with the 6.2 and it is 3.5" all the way out so I did not want to throw away a very efficient exhaust for a cat back, just wanted to change muffler. it does not use the same exhaust system as a Denali or Escalade probably due to the 2 speed transfer case and...

09 Tahoe 6.2L Goes Fast, Now Needs Better Brakes

Nope straight from the factory.. they only made them for a couple of years in the Tahoe & Yukon.. in 2009 they made 620 and I found this one with 30K on the odometer.. Plus it is the L9H engine, which does not have the cylinder deactivation. It also has the 2 speed transfer case like the Z71...

09 Tahoe 6.2L Goes Fast, Now Needs Better Brakes

Speck With the Wilwood Big Brake Kit, you have to run a minimum of a 20" wheel.. I actually did not buy the Wilwoods but instead opted for the Baer Eradispeed +1 15" Rotors and Baer Pads which use the factory caliper. $1300 for F&R from AutoAnything.com on sale got 20% off. I just could not...
