    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

These both make sense. I have only driven it very short distances so it is reading very low mileage.

So how would it be calculating the miles to E? The average mileage on the dash before I reset it was 15.9. What information is used to calculate miles to E? I would think the average mpg...obviously that is not the case

So a question for gas mileage...What should I expect to be getting in this truck? I have filled it up and reset all fuel counters and averages. Shows only 330 miles to E though...That would only be like 10 mpg...Do I need to drive it for a while for that to update? It showed 330 BEFORE I reset...

Thanks! Hopefully my appeal will go through. I am paying only a third of what they value it at lol

    Cruise Control not working

So I went and checked out the Avalanche on my lunch break. The light on the steering wheel is working now. Not sure if maybe I was imagining it not working or what, but either way, it is on now when I turn on the cruise. I did not take it anywhere, so I don't know if the cruise is working, but...

    Cruise Control not working

There were never any engine codes or ABS codes. Only airbag codes. I checked for pending codes and saved codes. never showed anything. BUT, I have not scanned since I noticed the cruise.traction control stuff going on. Maybe there is a stored code now? The cruise control light would not come on...

    Cruise Control not working

So let me set the timeline here... When I was rebuilding the truck, I scanned for codes and there were none. Drove the truck to the paint shop. On the way, I tried to turn the cruise on. It would not work. Shortly after, the traction control/stabilitrak error came on. I tried to use cruise...

    Cruise Control not working

I will go check the fuse on my lunch break. Need to find a diagram to find the fuse. Hopefully that is all it is. Could that also cause my traction control off and service stabilitrak?

    Cruise Control not working

Yeah, I will do that too. Do they just snap in and out of place?

Yeah no kidding. I hate how expensive the tax crap is

    Cruise Control not working

I never saw any codes come up when I had the scanner hooked up. The airbag was deployed, so maybe clockspring? I will be checking fuses and stuff like that first.

I am having a similar issue, but the light on my steering wheel does not even come on...any ideas?

    Towing and hitch

OR...replace the jack on your boat trailer with something that can go higher. If your boat trailer is the only thing that won't go high enough, I would consider a new jack. if it is every trailer you every haul, then I would look into an adjustable drop hitch.

    Towing and hitch

I would just go adjustable. I really hate how they look. Very bulky, but functionally, it is what you need. I have seen a few chevys that had 6-8" drop hitches because of this.

Yes, I do . In time though. I have put a decent amount of cash in this project and need time to recoup lol. I mainly want COI, exhaust and a black bear tune

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

Title made it in today! I should be meeting with a guy this evening to sell my current ride. As long as he does not back out, I will be in the Avalanche tomorrow! I called the tag office and I have to pay $1200 in tax/tag/title fees. Outrageous! They tax us here in GA (not sure if they do it...

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

So a little update... I spoke with the department of revenue last week and the title should have been mailed out last wed or thurs. If that is the case, it could be here as early as today! Only thing that I have left to do is install the 2 lower bumper support brackets. After that, I will get...

    Install factory radio with GPS

The bluetooth was my main concern. I wanted a factory nav radio because I thought the bluetooth would let me play music. If not, I will just go aftermarket I guess. I just want ALL of my steering wheel controls to remain functional

    Corsa Sport

I have been looking around and have decided I am going to keep everything stock and weld in a flowmaster super 40

    Install factory radio with GPS

Do all of the steering wheel controls work normally? Does the voice control button work with the new radio?

Good point. I was looking at a flowmaster super 40 single in/out. May be worth giving it a shot

    Oil pan gasket

Clearing the crankshaft is not the issue. You will more than likely still have to remove the crossmember and lower the front diff to change the gasket.

    2011 Avalanche Build (Wrecked)

Is that with just replacing the muffler? I am kind of thinking about literally cutting out the stock muffler and welding in a new one. Leaving everything else.

Does it have a lower tone to it in person? Seems to have more of a poppy higher pitch kind of sound. Reminds me of my old magnaflow set up on my old truck
