So what are some opinions on exhaust? I like a low rumble, but I do not want it to drone in the cab. It does not need to be super loud, but I like to hear it when I get on it. I was thinking about just installing a single in single out flowmaster to keep the stock look, but will it give me any...
I was actually talking with some people in here in some earlier posts about a leveling kit on it or something, but it does not seem to have a lift at all. It sits higher than the Tundra pictures above. Better ground clearance and slightly taller overall.
Just picked it up from the paint shop. They did a pretty jam up job. Even put the flare back on for me. All I need now is for the title to come in!
The Tundra pictured below is another truck that my friend bought and had repaired. He just picked his up from the paint shop yesterday.
I have seen a lot of the flood cars come in from the hurricane over in Texas at my moms work. Some are garbage, but some are just fine. If you are truly interested in it, I would take it for a very long test drive. Have them throw in an extended warranty. Check ALL the fluids for water. There...
Not yet. I dropped it off at the body shot on Monday and the light came on while I was on my way there. Once I get it back, I will hook up a scanner to it and see what it says.
Just got a call from the body shop...
Paint will be done tomorrow and ready to be picked up. I will be sure to snap a few pictures of the finished product. Well, almost finished. I still intend on replacing the hood later on down the road, but The one that is on it now will due for right now.
I never saw that, but I was not looking for it either. Once it comes back from the paint shop, I will check it out. It's not like it can't be driver like that...right?
I have read so many different things that people claim have fixed it. bad gas. Misfire. MAF sensor was loose. Low brake fluid. I am going to see if I can get my hands on a nice scanner tool. That will probably speed up the process a bit. Hopefully so anyways...
The only wire that was...
I drove the Avalanche to the body shop today to get the new parts painted. On the way, the "Traction Control Off" and "Service Stabilitrak" notifications come up. Also noticed that the cruise control was not working. Any ideas on what that could be?
Wheel/speed sensor maybe?
I just called a chevy dealership near me and they said they keys have to be programmed...I asked if they had a chip, and she didn't say, but she just said that new keys have to be programmed. BUT, she said it would be $140 for 2 keys and 2 fobs after taxes.
Well, do you know about programming the fobs? Can it be done with an obd scanner? Apparently the 2010 models can be done yourself, but everywhere I have read so far says you need to take an 11 to a dealership. I was hoping that they just plug it in to a scanner, but I have no clue.
Can you reprogram it yourself with an obd scanner? I have a 2011 Avalanche that will need 2 new keys and fobs programmed.
Dealer wants $150 per fob and $125 per key!
