    Cutting out the spare?

If you want to point to the link, there are plenty of ways to still see the PhotoBucket pictures... https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/photobucket-embedded-fix/?hotlinkfix=1513188996515

    Adding/enabling tow/haul mode

I used tow/haul with my 2002 Tahoe with this trailer. 285 HP with a 4 speed. I just pulled this for the first time this weekend with my 2014 SSV, and did not need tow/haul, not close enough to the rated capacity. I'm thinking the low profile bass boat towing won't need it either.

2015 Tahoe Spark Plugs, When to Replace?

For what it's worth... Spark plug manufacturer recomment 50k miles with iridium plugs, stating that they usually go 60k-80k without issues. On my last Tahoe the recommend change interval was 100,000 miles or 10 years. I went 80k plus and 15 years without touching them. Not recommending it...

    Stabilitrak disable function?

Are you sure you are holding the button in long enough? That was copied out of 2014 manual.

PPV & SSV wiring picture request

I am not aware of any additional fuse box work under the hood. If you give more specifics we could try to help. http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/another-dual-battery-thread.97412/

Discovered A new way to cancel Cruise Control.

I mean, if the window is all the way up and you are pushing the buttons, verses all the way down and pushing the buttons, the motor draws the same amount of current either way. Once all movement is haulted the motor is at its maximum load, and the current draw would be the same regardless if...

Tried to fix someones hack job now my horn doesn’t work

I'm going the other way, or looking at the picture wrong. I'm seeing two tan/brown wires, and think they need to be connected for the horn to work. This option let you use the horn switch to hit the siren. When connected together the horn worked, but it gave the fitter the option to connect...

Discovered A new way to cancel Cruise Control.

If that was the case, wouldn't you be able to repeat the results by pushing down when the windows were already down? (or is the thinking that there is a limit switch involved in going down, but not up? )

Finally Opened It Up and Stuck My DIC In

Right behind the panel, right where the switch goes. Before I did anything I pried open the left side of the panel to check for the wire. Then I ordered the switch and plugged it in to see if stuff worked. Then I left the switch hang there for 3 months while I looked for the unicorn of a...

    Installed DIC / Pics

It will probably be better to start a new thread, but I'll take a shot here first. Does anyone know how to get a replacement lock for these jump-consoles? I know I saw somewhere else how to reset these to fit your key, but mine doesn't look even close to taking the ignition key. The console...

Finally Opened It Up and Stuck My DIC In

Pulling the trim piece off is what I was most hesitant about. Reading other threads of dash pieces being brittle, especially as they age. And this thing has a black interior so I figure it's been cooking for a while in there. But that was so simple, never even touched the bottom clips. And for...

    Finally . . . tow mirrors?!

Cipa makes the original (better?) snap on mirror. I just bought another set for my newer Tahoe. I looked at all the aftermarket options, ranging from $80 -$240. I believe they are mostly the same. My only concern with them is it appears they all have some vibration at highway speed. That...

Finally Opened It Up and Stuck My DIC In

Yep :) I bought the DIC switch the day after getting my SSV. Had it hanging out of the trim as I played with all the cool new features. I left it there as I searched for the mythical good-price on a piece of trim. Finally gave up, figured my piece of trim is worth nothing anyways, if I screw...

    Autoride & Leveling Kit

Since no one else jumped in, I'll take a shot at it... Autoride is not about height or leveling, it checks the road surface every 20-milliseconds and "varies the amount of shock damping". Basically adjusts the shocks as you go for the smoothest ride. GM's auto-level had measured the back...

Towing in 3rd gear or 4th gear

On my 02 I only pulled in the snow. It wasn't all that heavy of a trailer but the wind resistance was there. Dropped the highway mileage from 15 to 7 mpg. It would pull at 80 no problem, but would really hit the RPMs on any incline. There was no happy medium, running at 2200 RPM or popping up...

A Sticky for New PPV/SSV Owners To Re-Civilianize Our Tahoes

I spent forever on the RPO codes. Used multiple sources to fill in as much information as I could and then used and Excel sheet to do lookups on the various sheets. Then found out GM is on this forum, simply send them your VIN and they will provide you a complete build list for you vehicle.

    new key fob

I spent more for the two pack that came with key blanks. Home Depot gets $45 for a chip key, I had a local locksmith cut these for $4. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KQIIR0K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Tires for Beach use?

I can't say from experience if it is correct or not, but I heard... You have to be careful when looking for sand tire, it is not just an off road type tire. That aggressive thread that works else where will dig you in to a hole in the sand. (Obviously aired down helps, and type of sand...

    Buying a 2011 ppv

I will do a search for more, but two questions off the bat. Won't they work for 2014 also? I know that Tech 2s and solid knock offs are available, but isn't the software still a little tricky? You can get a loaded laptop, or get the software to work, but how do you deal with the yearly...
