Best time to buy a 2020 Tahoe?

It might be just my state but dealers here are at the moment are not hung at all, in fact they are nonchalant to the point that they do not even send quotes out for 2020 trucks. I have tried 3 local to Raleigh dealers.

Rough idle is back with vengence

With the WFH there is a lot less driving so hard for me to quantify the effect. Interesting observation from BlackBear folks, they see that my idle numbers in logs are rock stable, but the actual truck is shaking. Justin feels it is either injectors or a mechanical issue and not actual misfires...

Idle pressure is at 39-70, it fluctuates quite a bit.

Rough idle is back with vengence

I did the oil change myself with 0w20 Mobil1, made sure that level is perfect just under the "Full" mark. Used Mobil1 premium filter as well (supposedly as good or better than OEM filter).

Rough idle is back with vengence

I am trying to understand this point, am I reading it correctly that hose could be disconnected? What is the fault condition and how do I determine it? Certain pressure? Dealers are saying no codes of any kind in my truck.

Rough idle is back with vengence

Folks, my rough idle puzzle is this: 1) Brand new OEM plugs and OEM wires -> no effect 2) RPM bump -> no effect especially with AC ON 3) Drop-in air filters AEM, Wix, OEM -> no effect 4) Brand new engine and transmission mounts -> no effect 5) Checked battery with a load test and all...

Rough idle is back with vengence

There are no PIDs for misfires, never were logged PIDs ever for misfires. When I say I see misfires, I am only talking about OBD II $06 monitor misfires. $06 monitor gave me 4 across all 8 cylinders in 30 min drive, and what I was told that AFM causes those that I can see in $06 mode. These GDI...

Rough idle is back with vengence

Thank you, I did not think about pump cooling. Rough idle worsening so far has been correlated by my observations with tank running below 1/2 and obviously running AC. Wires, plugs are all bought from the dealer - genuine AC Delco products. Couple of questions: 1. When you say pressure reading...

Rough idle is back with vengence

yes, you are who the dealers here need to meet, they can't care less about feeling it, I got Attorney General, DMV talking to them and they just smirk, Arbitrage decided in GM's favor, saying not severe enough it does not stop and does not prevent safe operations, they said all GM trucks are...

Rough idle is back with vengence

Full bumper to bumper, truck is < 1 year old. Old adagio from all dealers, no code - no repairs. I have tried even arbitrage, was told, it goes from point a to b and it does not stall. It is within GM oeprating spec.

Rough idle is back with vengence

Good folks of this forum, while my other thread is locked, I have to open this one. This is a problem for technically-curious, it is far beyond my troubleshooting ability. Situation: Idle was relatively smooth with AC off season(and some other improvements) With light feather throttle tip...

    Transmission fluid change

I bought a very much the same Pela extractor but a) metal re-enforced tube is a bit short and it did not go into the dipstick to reach the fluid in the pan (I guess there are two tight turns; b) anyone knows if there is a longer but still metal re-enforced thin hose that we can attach to reach...

Dealer not honoring warranty work..2018 5.3 Yukon issues

Ladies and gents of the jury... or wait, all good folks here... final update from me, time to close this thread. BBB Autoline is a giant waste of time in my case. Arbitrator indeed concluded that vibration was not interfering with drivability or did not impact value substantially and he...

Dealer not honoring warranty work..2018 5.3 Yukon issues

We waited for abitration to start for 35 minutes, then hearing went on for 50 mins and engine cooled off, then 5 mins drive and that was it.

Dealer not honoring warranty work..2018 5.3 Yukon issues

The process of Arbitration is pretty brief, it is all based on the test drive with the Arbitrator if he can witness the problem or not. You have 5 mins to show the problem with him in the passenger seat. In my case the issue comes up stronger after I drive for 10-20 mins and engine fully warmed...

Dealer not honoring warranty work..2018 5.3 Yukon issues

3-way pre-arbitrage call with BBB and GM Lemon Law team was not friendly at all. GM side was condescending, dismissive and disinterested. They said dealers looked into your car, we trust our dealers - no codes, no issues to repair. I asked what do I do now? Go to court or arbitrage? They...

Dealer not honoring warranty work..2018 5.3 Yukon issues

GM loves arbitrage because it does not cost them anything, there are no risks for them and as Bob pointed out 90% of people will not go through that. I am at 112 pages of evidence at the moment. Had to substantiated every complaint with clear evidence per BBB rules. It is my payback to this...

Dealer not honoring warranty work..2018 5.3 Yukon issues

Bob and all please keep this research up, I am following this thread and I did not move away. I just have to do a ton of paperwork prep for tomorrow arbitration. As GM told me, "go ahead try arbitrage we will drown you in paperwork" they were not kidding...

Dealer not honoring warranty work..2018 5.3 Yukon issues

I will give it a whirl and see. I went down the slippery path of arbitration to prep for a court. I am reading in numerous posts that GM's self-appointed "specs" allow up to 3-4 quarts of oil to be added and consider normal... this is out of control.

Dealer not honoring warranty work..2018 5.3 Yukon issues

I am not a litigious person but I feel really frustrated that GM is not willing to help, I spent now $1890 of my personal money trying to fix the truck that is only 11 months into bumper to bumper manufacturer's warranty. Are small courts effective or are they giant waste of time? Desperate to...

Dealer not honoring warranty work..2018 5.3 Yukon issues

Interesting thought... What would be the way to test for it? At this point, I have to try a thing or two but myself, I am done with dealers, they will not help as GM does not accept the problem.

Dealer not honoring warranty work..2018 5.3 Yukon issues

Swapping injectors on recent engines is crazy hard, requires some special tools, there is a post earlier that explains why, what used to be 20 mins affair is now multi hour if one has tools. It could be done but not by av average weekend warrior.
