I've got 13,000 miles on my 2016 Denali and I've not noticed any issues with buffeting. I did have issues with vibrations that was mostly cured with a change to Michelin tires. I attribute the harshness that remains to the 22" wheels. Sure wish I had bought it with 20's.
I also have a Range Tech unit but it causes problems so I no longer use it. It will throw a transmission code and throw the transmission into a limp mode where it will only run in 3rd gear or so. Pull the range tech unit and it will reset and work OK after a restart. I can deal with it but I...
I finally got around to the bolt mod on the flapper. I've put a few miles on it now with the change and I think I'll remove the bolt. While I like the slight rumble that it gives. I really dislike the feeling when it drops into 4 cylinder mode at low rpms. Say 1200 to 1500 rpm. It feels...
Considering that all of the Tahoes and Yukons come with third row seats I don't see much of a market for a used one. I wouldn't think it would be worth very much.
I was playing with the mileage meter in my Denali and was surprised at the best mileage numbers. They must occur when going down a mountain.
My bests are:
25 mile - 25.9 mpg
50 mile - 24.5 mpg
400 mile - 20.8 mpg
What are your best numbers?
When I get out of my '16 Denali and leave someone inside the horn will chirp twice. It doesn't chirp if you are the last one out. Is that a feature to keep you from leaving a kid in the car? I've searched the owners manual and couldn't find mention of the feature. Just curious if others have...
I have a question regarding the Active Fuel Management on our trucks. When the system drops to 4 cylinder mode does it cut the same 4 cylinders out each time, or, does it alternate between the cylinders?
Just curious.

I was on a new section of road tonight about 4 miles long with new pavement. My new Michelin's were smooth as glass. As soon as I got off of that section I was back to the harsh ride. I think it's all in the 22" wheels now.
I had a mechanic from my dealer tell me that GM is getting really strict on engines that use the 0w20 oil. If there is any internal engine problems oil is the first thing they look at. If you had the service done outside of the dealer they will do an oil analysis to make sure the correct oil...
Very true. As one who has had excellent service out of 4 previous full size GM suv's, I expected the same with this one. Actually, I expected better because I stepped up to a Denali.
My dealer initially said that they would only replace the tires with the same brand and model, Bridgestones. I explained that would only delay getting it corrected because when that didn't work I would be back again. They came back after talking with GM and told me that they would replace the...
My vibration was definitely tire related. Although you can feel a bit of vibration with the AFM. After all of the pico analysis and repeated tire balancing by the dealer, and after my insistence, GM agreed to put on a new set of Michelins. That cured 75% of the vibration. I attribute the...
They tried to get me to wait 3 to 4 weeks for a "GM Rep" to come in and go for a ride with me. I said no, I've already ridden with the mechanic and service manager and both know how it felt. They had my truck for a week that time and they had already balanced the tires twice before. I...
