    2017 Denali, any issues?

I've got 13,000 miles on my 2016 Denali and I've not noticed any issues with buffeting. I did have issues with vibrations that was mostly cured with a change to Michelin tires. I attribute the harshness that remains to the 22" wheels. Sure wish I had bought it with 20's.

Good move on getting the 20" wheels. I wish I had done that.

I also have a Range Tech unit but it causes problems so I no longer use it. It will throw a transmission code and throw the transmission into a limp mode where it will only run in 3rd gear or so. Pull the range tech unit and it will reset and work OK after a restart. I can deal with it but I...

I finally got around to the bolt mod on the flapper. I've put a few miles on it now with the change and I think I'll remove the bolt. While I like the slight rumble that it gives. I really dislike the feeling when it drops into 4 cylinder mode at low rpms. Say 1200 to 1500 rpm. It feels...

    15 denali third row value?

Considering that all of the Tahoes and Yukons come with third row seats I don't see much of a market for a used one. I wouldn't think it would be worth very much.

Can someone explain the flapper bolt mod. I searched and couldn't find any information on it. Thanks, Dennis

Has anyone replaced those dreaded Bridgestone's?

Mine were replaced because the ride was so bad. They were repeatedly balanced to no avail. I think they had flat spots on them. GM replaced mine.

Has anyone replaced those dreaded Bridgestone's?

GM replaced my Bridgestones with Michelin Premier LTX tires and the ride improved significantly.

Looks good. I must be "old school" because I like the chrome better than black.

    What's your best 25, 50 and 400 mile MPG?

I was playing with the mileage meter in my Denali and was surprised at the best mileage numbers. They must occur when going down a mountain. My bests are: 25 mile - 25.9 mpg 50 mile - 24.5 mpg 400 mile - 20.8 mpg What are your best numbers?

Why does the horn chirp when the door is closed upon exit?

Ok, that explains it. When it chirps it is when my wife is still in the car with her purse and key fob. Thanks.

    New 2016 Denali - Strange Whining/Motor-Like Noise ????

Could it be the seat coolers? I know when mine are on it makes a constant noise.

    Towing mpg

I just towed my 6x12 box trailer with a total weight of about 2800 lbs 950 miles and got 10.8 mpg with my '16 Denali running about 70 mph.

Why does the horn chirp when the door is closed upon exit?

When I get out of my '16 Denali and leave someone inside the horn will chirp twice. It doesn't chirp if you are the last one out. Is that a feature to keep you from leaving a kid in the car? I've searched the owners manual and couldn't find mention of the feature. Just curious if others have...

    AFM Question

I have a question regarding the Active Fuel Management on our trucks. When the system drops to 4 cylinder mode does it cut the same 4 cylinders out each time, or, does it alternate between the cylinders? Just curious. Dennis

So how far did you make it with the fuel light on before it ran out? That would be good to know.

    My new 16 Denali!

I like your 20" wheels. I wish I had them instead of the 22's. The harsh ride sucks in my opinion.

Mine are the Premiers. I don't have the low speed booming.

Bought a new Denali and now I'm having buyers remorse

I was on a new section of road tonight about 4 miles long with new pavement. My new Michelin's were smooth as glass. As soon as I got off of that section I was back to the harsh ride. I think it's all in the 22" wheels now.

    Oil Changes?

I had a mechanic from my dealer tell me that GM is getting really strict on engines that use the 0w20 oil. If there is any internal engine problems oil is the first thing they look at. If you had the service done outside of the dealer they will do an oil analysis to make sure the correct oil...

    Buffeting and Vibration

Very true. As one who has had excellent service out of 4 previous full size GM suv's, I expected the same with this one. Actually, I expected better because I stepped up to a Denali.

Bought a new Denali and now I'm having buyers remorse

My dealer initially said that they would only replace the tires with the same brand and model, Bridgestones. I explained that would only delay getting it corrected because when that didn't work I would be back again. They came back after talking with GM and told me that they would replace the...

Bought a new Denali and now I'm having buyers remorse

My vibration was definitely tire related. Although you can feel a bit of vibration with the AFM. After all of the pico analysis and repeated tire balancing by the dealer, and after my insistence, GM agreed to put on a new set of Michelins. That cured 75% of the vibration. I attribute the...

My new Denali is back at the dealer for vibration issues

They tried to get me to wait 3 to 4 weeks for a "GM Rep" to come in and go for a ride with me. I said no, I've already ridden with the mechanic and service manager and both know how it felt. They had my truck for a week that time and they had already balanced the tires twice before. I...
