It was dead at my shop so I detailed the Denali inside since it's so cold and took a picture of where the camera is mounted, in the middle of the license plate. It's just a cheap $15 shipped camera off of Ebay but works for me.
I have constant power to the camera while the radio is on so my head unit gives you the option of viewing the camera while driving and the radio still plays iPad music If you bypass the e-brake wire.
I was bored at work today so installed my rear view camera, have it set up so I can view it while I drive if needed as well as turning on when I reverse.
I mounted the tiny camera in the middle of the license plate.
Did you accidentally put E85 in?
The lights dimming is normal because your engine is dying out and the alt output voltage drops.
Just one of those things that will hard to diag on the Internet. Have someone test the output voltage of the alternator and check the battery to eliminate that all...
Runs lean, unmetered air entering the engine causing it to die out. definitely not a happy motor, try to get it fixed as soon as possible and for the mean time just give it a little extra gas until it's warmed up to keep it from dying out.
Gaskets are around $30 and if you can't do it yourself a...
Check the heater hoses/valve in the engine compartment to the rear heater core, routed on the passenger side of the engine bay running along the underside of the car all the way to the rear.
Not sure how any tech would not be able to find a coolant leak especially if you have to fill the res...
Since I bought my wife the newest iPad I took her ipad2 and mounted it in the center console.
I got the rough cut done and a secure bracket made, now just gotta have a friend fill in the gaps with fiberglass and I will wrap it with satin black.
It would have been much easier to use a iPad mini...
Hope your enjoying your beautiful weather! Instead of protecting an HD hood I should wrap my whole truck like that to protect it from salt and mag chloride. :)
Yea the one he is asking about which is the controller unit, I'm sure if someone was bored enough they could disassemble the whole head unit and clean all the electrical contacts etc, that would probably fix it rather than replacing the whole unit but I don't know if that's even a possibility.
It is about 24 degrees today but I really needed to know if all the mag chloride and dirt would come off and didn't destroy the Vinyl.
I had to use a microfiber wash mitt to clean it while spraying with the gun and almost lost some fingers but it was all worth it lol.
The vinyl doesn't show any...
Nice! I honestly didn't know they cost that much but I'm naive because I just checked and that's a good deal unless you want some shitty ebay one.
Thanks for letting me know I just don't have that kinda extra cash right now.
I had a lapse of good judgement at the car wash yesterday and almost ruined my Vinyl wrap... The Denali was really dirty so I cleaned and checked the extremely soft brush they had and lightly used it to get some of the dirt off before spot free rinsing.
I barely touched the truck with the brush...
Damn if my car was as clean as yours I would have never wrapped it! Looks awesome man and its a viscous cycle... Spend all day detailing only to have a dust storm roll in or even worse to have it sprinkle enough to spot the hell out of it.
I had this roll into my shop and wish I had it, no...
