    It was dead at my shop so I detailed the Denali inside since it's so cold and took a picture of where the camera is mounted, in the middle of the license plate. It's just a cheap $15 shipped camera off of Ebay but works for me.

    I have constant power to the camera while the radio is on so my head unit gives you the option of viewing the camera while driving and the radio still plays iPad music If you bypass the e-brake wire.

    I was bored at work today so installed my rear view camera, have it set up so I can view it while I drive if needed as well as turning on when I reverse. I mounted the tiny camera in the middle of the license plate.

    Extremely good chance it's your intake manifold gaskets... Almost 100% positive replacing the gaskets will remedy this issue!

    Yea the one he is asking about which is the controller unit, I'm sure if someone was bored enough they could disassemble the whole head unit and clean all the electrical contacts etc, that would probably fix it rather than replacing the whole unit but I don't know if that's even a possibility.

    Also you may read about resetting/recalibration of these units but that wouldn't pertain to the issue you have, just a heads up if you read it online.

    I have seen that on numerous customer cars. The HVAC controller gets worn and a new one runs about $120 for New AcDelco GM replacement units.

    I had a lapse of good judgement at the car wash yesterday and almost ruined my Vinyl wrap... The Denali was really dirty so I cleaned and checked the extremely soft brush they had and lightly used it to get some of the dirt off before spot free rinsing. I barely touched the truck with the brush...
