Thats not a speaker. You need this part...its a small fan thats making the noise. Has something to do with the temp control.

following this. I too am lost when it comes to getting an avatar and sig pic that is accepted. I just want a website to load a pic up and it just poops out the size i need!
I should have mentioned its gonna be flat arkansas/mississippi delta. Good advice from all, definitely interested in the temp guage just to see whats going on. Whats an acceptable towing temp?
I'm assuming the larger one in the middle is the transmission cooler. The tall skinny one to the right? Power steering maybe?
This is an 03 Z71, do you think the stock transmission cooler is adequate for towing a 22' deck boat or should I upgrade??, most trips would be less than an hour one...
Yes with 1 1/2 " spacers you have to trim the starter nipple off. Just use the nuts that come with the spacer and screw them on the lugs. Then use a band saw to trim, unscrew the nuts to make sure the threads are still good and your set. I've done 2 trucks like this.
I found a guy who had the scanner to check air bag codes, mine ended up being the seat position sensor on the drivers side (wires were pulled out of the connector). I know you are trying to connect the steering wheel buttons with this problem but it could be separate.
