also was thinking about putting in a light bar there...someone told me its not a good idea to have too much blocking the fins as this is how ir cools with airflow? how true is this? i was thinking a light bar or some yellow strobes for helping around the garage at work in the grille.
got the 04 LT Tahoe lifted with the keys/shocks/springs combo. the guy who did the work told me that my lower control arms are no good..that to get them changed out asap necause its messing with the height/and will damage the new shocks i just installed prematurely. asking for some...
finnally got it done...its definitely sitting up higher. looks good IMO. thanks for the help guys. until the next lift! prolly go higher with struts :)
didnt see any coolant on it and my temp level stays level at the same place...but man if you flick the fins it just falls apart. rusty as hell. last thing i want is for this truck to croak heat/ac wise this summer. i rather be proactive than reactive. i had the water pump blow on me on a summer...
switched out my grill for an aftermarket one, noticed now rusty and ancient the radiator is. i know the truck is old and this is most likely the factory one. i was thinking of replacing it before it croaks, and changing out the fluid. what you guys think? go acdelco? after market? im at 130k...
if you guys can suggest a good amp, speakers etc for this head unit and what i got installed already...would be great. i listen to alot of hardcore punk, heavy metal and some hoiphop. also alot of reggaeton/dembow. i can start buying pieces little by little to get it done up eventually if i got...
first upgrade i did when i got the truck was change the head unit i didnt do anything else. id like to do it over time..100-200 dollars here at a time...cant reallt afford to do a complete change off the rip unless its under like 1000 dollars. not sure how much this stuff cost..dont want show...
not so much im not comfortable :D i dont have the space or the time anymore to try my hand at doing anything myself anymore. i need the vehicle to go to work so this work is gonna have cab money budgeted into it. so key crank then everything else+ alignment is the way to go?
you think it would be a bad idea to have all the other work done at my shop then take the truck to get the keys done at the offroad shop? i rather have someone wit experience do it right way than someone just do it. or maybe the reverse since i gotta get a wheel alighnment after?
okay guys i got all the pieces listed in that post and some extra stuff ( keys, four shocks, springs and torsion bars, coil spring insulators). anbything else i should order that will help this modest lift go successfully? like support parts that are probably worn out by now that i sghould...
can you tell me the pros and cons of spacers? i have the factory 17's on mine now and nittos but once those tires give out i want to go to the american racing rims the barrell hole ones. i liked my nitto grapplers alot, i think i would go with those or something similar with alot of meat on the...
