Once you get some more seat time in the Escalade, specifically night time driving, I'd be interested in your feedback on the performance and light output on the road of the '21+ Yukon LED headlights vs. the '21+ Escalade LED headlights.
Having driven a '21 Yukon XL SLT for 3 months as an...
If you're plan would be to invest in a tune that disables AFM and your spending that money for the tune; Why not just spend a little more to do the E85 Flex Fuel conversion? It can be accomplished with all GM OEM Parts and shouldn't impact the cost of getting the tune it would just be the...
I went from daily driving a 2015 Yukon XL Denali with the 6.2L and 8L90e, put 130K on it before it got totaled.
I drove a '21 Yukon XL SLT with 5.3 and 10 speed for a little over 3 months (which is probably closer to what your drivetrain combo would be).
Now I daily drive my wife's 2013 Escalade...
That’s the first I’ve see of that…
Interesting option.
I wish they would post the
“Supplemental parts list for the small parts required to complete install will be provided with the install kits, and instructions.”
@Loki223 Yes I still have these fog lights available.
As far as fitting the K2XX Suburban...
They offer a kit for the 2015-2020 Suburban here: https://www.diodedynamics.com/ss3-led-fog-light-kit-for-2015-2020-chevrolet-suburban.html
If you review the "In the Box" list it appears to be all...
I have never heard of a GM dealer offering the option to do an AFM/DOD delete at the dealership through their service department. Though it could be accomplished mechanically with mostly GM OEM parts it requires an ECM Tune that dealerships do not do.
I'm fairly certain that upon diagnosing...
As others have stated you should be able to change the application of the brakes in the vehicle setting menu. There should be an "apply brakes" (or similar) option so then when turned off it would still flash the red lights on the dash and/or heads up display but would NOT apply the brakes.
That's a clean looking Tahoe. Lowered on what looks to be some 305 series tires on the factory 20's. Dual exhaust; The location of the exhaust tips loop tight enough to the rear bumper that it's probably cut/notched for the exhaust outlets some how I'd imagine.
Do you know what type of suspension option you have on your RST?
Or the RPO code for the suspension?
If you post up those 2 things it’ll help others make recommendations for lowering kits/parts for the amount of drop you’re looking for.
Did you do any prep on the wiper arms or cowl before you painted them? Did you sand them at all? Use any primer or just the Trim Black paint?
I could see sanding the wiper arms a bit, but not sure about the cowl?
Nope... We didn't make it. All those carcinogens got us!
My wife never even knew I did it, she also doesn't use the oven much ha. We also no longer have that oven...
Yeah I probably wouldn't recommend it. Could probably contact a local powder coating shop that could do the bake process for...
@bigdjatom416 Did you ever get this figured out? The liftgate on my '13 Escalade ESV has the same exact symptoms... Nothing shows up on a scanner at all?
@Joseph Garcia When I push the button from the fob the tail lights blink but nothing. No Noise, no clicking, no movement, no attempt to...
So with that being said...
If someone in the USA were willing to pay for the additional costs for shipping and processing through customs wouldn't it then be possible for someone in the USA to ship the a set of '21-'24 GMC OEM Yukon headlights to the Light studio in Russia that you worked...
Check out this thread here: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/2017-yukon-denali-head-lights-are-terrible.115485/page-2
Post #12 provides some explanation and visual comparisons on your experience with upgrading just the bulbs on the headlights. Sure there are bulbs that perform better...
Yeah that seems excessive. How many miles on the vehicle? Maybe they ran some pads down to metal on metal and it made its way onto the calipers?
That being said if this is a used vehicle you’re interested in purchasing and all checks out except for calipers I’d try negotiating some new ones...
That’s probably just for the LED module sets and the retrofit installation work.
If I had to guess that price DOES NOT include the cost of the OEM headlight assemblies?
The light output looks incredible and is significantly better than the OEM light output.
These turned out great! Nothing too crazy over the top, or that looks out of place. Just a nice executed OEM+ look.
One of my previous DD vehicles was an '06 Trailblazer SS with the 6.0 LS2. I had 1-7/8" Kooks stainless steel long tube headers and Kooks stainless steel catted Y-Pipe. Both the headers and Y-Pipe were just left bare stainless, no ceramic coating. I live in Ohio where we get snow and road...
The GMC Hummer EVs are wide!
Having driven a few 21+ T1XX GM SUVs for extended periods of time (3 month rental) they’re also noticeably wider than the GMT900 and K2XX SUVs.
^^Nalied it. We have 4 kids ranging from 11 months to 9yrs old. My wife and I both drive Escalade ESV’s due to our work schedule either one of us need to be able to transport our kids.
We will be staying in the ESV/XL SUV platform for quite some time.
Are you saying you have a bad motor mount on your '18 Yukon Denali? If so, I don't think there's been much experience or mention of failing motor mounts on the K2XX platform? I thought that was just a common GMT900 issue.
How many miles on your '18 Yukon Denali?
I was referring to the “overlay” the part that gets removed by hand in the video. That’s the custom 3D printed piece they designed right?
That’s just an “overlay” trim piece to cover the module mounting bracket and hardware and maintain the OEM+ look of the headlight. It has no impact on...
That structure "overlay" on top of the LED modules is pretty much serving as your "projector shroud" as used in a traditional 3.0" Round Bi-LED/HID projector retrofit. It definitely has an OEM+ look to it which is excellent!
Keep the progress pictures and videos coming.
