Nothin like a shoot first and aim later type of deal.
Good luck with your purchase OP; There is plenty of information available on this forum for the model year Yukon XL Denali you just purchased. Do yourself a favor and spend a little time searching and browsing the forum here and soak it up.
Here’s a different perspective to your question.
I owned and drove a 2015 Yukon XL Denali for 6 years 149K miles. It was totaled by a drunk driver. Wife was driving her ‘13 Escalade ESV Luxury coming up in 128K miles, she wanted a newer one. Despite me trying to convince her ‘13 is in great...
For those of you who are running E85 almost 100% of the time are you guys adding any fuel additives?
Something like this:
https://www.amsoil.com/p/amsoil-quickshot-gasoline-treatment-and-stabilizer-aqs/
I ask because I've been running E85 pretty consistently for over a year (in that time frame...
To me they look like these:

I know this is an old thread but with some of the newer 2025+ SUVs coming with OEM 24" tires I do anticipate some more 24" tire options becoming available.
I snooped around on the Michelin website and got excited when I seen they have 24" size available for the Defender LTX M/S2's but it's a...
This is such a labor of both love and hate. I’ve done this once. I just don’t have the time to do it myself anymore. But some of the local details shops to me want A LOT of money to do it. Which I can kind of understand since all the work is in the prep not so much the application of the...
I had these Lloyd carpeted floor mats installed in my 2015 Yukon XL Denali for not even a year. I went with the Lloyd LUXE version (top/highest model mat) for both the front driver and passenger side floor mats since I figured those would get the most wear. The second row, third row, and cargo...
I purchased these for my 2015 GMC Yukon XL Denali and since I no longer have that vehicle I no longer have a need for these fog lights. These are probably the brightest LED fog lights you can install on your vehicle. There are plenty of pictures throughout the forums of other owners with these...
Dusted off my car audio hat and put it on. Something that I haven’t done since high school/college.
Had a blown center dash speaker in my ‘13 Escalade ESV with factory Bose. Did some digging on the line and found the center dash speaker is a 3.5” mid and is 3.35 ohms. 3.35 Ohms is very odd (as...
I drove a ‘21 Yukon XL SLT for over 3 months as a rental and the stock LED headlights were terrible and the stock fog lights are not much help either. I’d almost consider them for decoration only. Very disappointing for a vehicle at this price point.
All that being said; My sole decision on...
Not sure on the screen…. Wish it had a more integrated look instead of just an “attached to the dash” look. Maybe seeing it with the top of the dash coverings will make it look better?
Is it just me or do I not see any fog lights in the new front bumper design? That’s not a deal breaker as...
They did. I found this out months ago when we had to replace tires on the wife’s ‘19 ESV as the Michelin Defender LTX M/S’s are hard to beat and almost all I’ve ran for the past 6+ years on our GM full size SUV’s.
We put the 285/45R22 M/S2’s on the wife’s ESV earlier this year. They’ve been...
I’m so glad you posted this. I’ve been averaging 10.5-11.8 in my ‘13 ESV and I was starting to think maybe something was wrong….
Reading this confirms there isn’t it’s just my driving. I’ve also been running on E pretty consistently for 8+ months.
This just seems like it has your username all over it… @bad_idea.
(Sorry I had to…)
In all seriousness I wouldn’t risk potentially damaging a rim, tire, or TPMS over saving $50.
With my old '15 Yukon XL Denali I owned it from 24K miles bought CPO and it was totaled by a drunk driver at 149K miles.
Followed severe maintenance schedule on all drivetrain fluids.
- Installed a Range AFM disabler at 30K miles.
- A/C condenser failure at 62K miles
- AFM lifter failure at 78K...
Based on what you’ve shared clearly the shop is incompetent.
A few quick clarifying questions based on your OP about fighting with insurance.
1. Were you fighting with the insurance of the other person/driver or your own insurance?
2. Is the body shop that did the “repair” and subsequent...
I experienced this also on my ‘15 Yukon XL Denali. What I found is that the connection from the Arnott’s to the stock air line on the vehicle wasn’t quite as tight and locked as OEM. I feel like this caused my Arnott’s to excessively run and leak down more often. Not quite as much as a leaking...
Sorry to hear about your situation. Definitely post of pics and let us check it out.
I would drive it right back to the body shop ASAP and call the insurance that worked with the body shop for the repairs and let them know your truck isn’t right and that they need to make it right.
They...
