Had gotten my SUV repaired at a shop for the corner hit by a out of towner driver. took a month for repair , (was fighting with insurance since OCT '23)..

got it back with the clear coat sanded down.. looks like they used a Random orbital sander..:Boo:

it's embarrassing to even take it out.... it's trashed...

Sorry to hear about your situation. Definitely post of pics and let us check it out.

I would drive it right back to the body shop ASAP and call the insurance that worked with the body shop for the repairs and let them know your truck isn’t right and that they need to make it right.

They should also have you back into a rental while the shop makes it right.

the SUV isn't even finished yet they still haven't applied that hybrid logo onto the fender.. as they don't know the original color of the H logo

There is a bit more to the story this started when they added a new scratch to the rear of the SUV tailgate

needs muti angle light you can see how bad it is at a gas station for example..

it's OVERCAST today so it's going to be hard to see anything

look at the hood hing yeah they picked away at it like a scab

Based on what you’ve shared clearly the shop is incompetent.

A few quick clarifying questions based on your OP about fighting with insurance.

1. Were you fighting with the insurance of the other person/driver or your own insurance?

2. Is the body shop that did the “repair” and subsequent potential other damage a shop that the insurance recommended and steered you to as one of their “approved” “preferred” or a body shop that you chose on your own?

I heard Hybrid logo. If that’s a GM Tahoe, Yukon, Escalade, etc hybrid, the hood is likely made of aluminum and will have to be prep’d differently than the fenders.

That's a really good point. Was replacing and/or repainting the hood part of the work that the body shop did?
