In my opinion this is not a mud flap bracket. Pretty sure the parts list calls it a frame extension. My thought is that it is intended to protect the cabin during impact from intrusion of the wheel or caving in. I added shims under the outer bots to get it to angle and increase gap where the tire rubs.
Tough to say, certainly possible. Could also be a frame extension because the flap needed support there from, well, flapping around

Need a GM engineer to chime in.

Right. Would be great to hear from GM. When you see it in person, how stout it is, and it lines up with the frame. It looks like it serves some purpose. Way more than you need for a mud flap. Its stronger than the little braces that hold the fenders on the vehicle.

Anybody add a little more rear lift to their 3” readylift or 3.5” RC?

My ‘22 Tahoe Z71 sits 1/4” to 1/2” lower in the back from ground to fenders than the front, but with the sloped roof looks more substantial.

I’ve lived with it for a year but thinking about doing a little something.
