97 Tahoe 2 door EZ Entry passenger seat problem

I now have a truck where the other cable broke. The one for the extra access is fine but the one for the first movement broke so the lever doesn't release the seat. I can get it all of the way forward by using the seat adjuster. Frustrating design!

Has anybody found a decent portable compressor/inflator?

If you're a scrounger find a junk vehicle like my 08 Envoy that has an onboard compressor for the air ride. Factory it comes with a long hose and is made to be able to pump up tires. Adapt it and mount it on your Tahoe.

    Oxygen Sensors

Where are you seeing the 2 that you see? Does the truck still have cats? Heated O2 sensors have a voltage feed that heats the sensor so it starts working faster. The non heated only have 1 wire, the heated have multiple wires.

    1992 Blazer won't stay running

Check engine light? Any stored codes? Throttle body clean? Need a scan tool that can read and control the IAC motor and see if it's working correctly. They are bad to have throttle body gaskets break/leak.

    1999 Chevy Tahoe

Just a troubleshooting tip for those that troubleshoot electrical problems. Something like a blower motor requires amperage so measuring voltage with a meter or test light doesn't tell the whole story of a circuit. Making a test light from a headlamp can help when you are checking a circuit that...

    1999 Chevy Tahoe

Simple system to troubleshoot. Do you have power AND ground at the blower motor? If you want a guess the connector on the back of the blower switch is known to melt. Have you had the control out?

    What is this leaking?

It looks like it's the differential cover that is leaking. Is there any wet on the bottom of the differential? Check to see if the pinion seal is leaking. Covers get bent and damaged when people jack under the rear and don't pay attention where the jack hits.

    K2500 Brake Upgrade?

I've got a K2500 pickup and for me the best thing I did for my brakes was put a NBS master cylinder on, I pull a 28' enclosed car trailer that is heavy. Do the google and there are a lot of links to changing the MV for both vacuum boost and hydro boost.

    4wd Issues PLEASE HELP

Again, there is nothing in the transfer case that can slip, it is gears. I can say that I have seen a transfer case lose all function but it would go into neutral and the truck would not move at all.

    4wd Issues PLEASE HELP

Originally you said nothing worked but 2wd Hi. if the shaft was spinning then the transfer case was doing it's 4wd thing and it sounds like the front differential had a problem. If you replaced the frt. differential completely then that problem should be gone, did the complete frt. differential...

    1997 Tahoe 4wd model

Big clue is the speedo not working. Pro scan tool should have the ability to read vehicle speed while driving. Did the friend drive the vehicle and monitor vehicle speed on the scan tool? If it didn't show any speed I would look at the Vehicle speed sensor. Take quick look and unplug the wires...

    4wd Issues PLEASE HELP

This is a fully mechanical transfer case, nothing in there that "slips out". It's all mechanical linkage, you can disconnect the linkage and move the lever by hand to select each position. You said nothing worked except 2wd Hi to start with, all of that is controlled in the transfer case...

    99 chevy LT 2 door,

    Coolant change

To totally drain you need to remove the 2 block plugs. The left side is a pipe plug with a hex head, the right side is the knock sensor. If you remove them and the radiator drain you'll do a full drain.

    99 Starts sometimes

Start with checking battery and all of the cables, both cables both ends. Then it's always good to do a voltage drop test, do the google on how to do it properly. It will show you just where the problem is for the slow crank.
