Story Time - Two Warranty Claims and Some Sprinkles
Glad all ended well OP. Would be very interested in knowing if yours is an 8 speed. Been around Camaros and vettes long enough to know that GM and 15 and up 8speed trans TCs just don't mix. "Triple flushes" and all kinds of TSBs and still, TCs blowing chunks on gen 6 Camaros and C7 vettes...- LT1ZOB

TRT, Tow Rig Tuesday...show what ya tow
Great advice, especially the wrap. I have all mobil1 synthetic in my other cars, but all other cars are manuals, so trans fluid changes are easy. However I’ve never done a fluid change on an auto and would like to since I’ll be towing. Any advice on where to get detailed instructions?- LT1ZOB

If anyone is looking for weathertechs at a reasonable cost, try Costco. I bought a set of 4 for $29. Obviously not the molded ones, but the rubber ones. They are “one size fits all”, but happen to fit our cars perfectly. Grey, black or beige, all were available at my local Costco. Just a heads... -

Absolutely agree as mine will turn a blind eye to just about anything, but if you’re buying it used and the warranty is already blocked by GM, not much you can do about it.- LT1ZOB

Pondered the same for a few months Rodney. Just bought a 16 last week with 22k miles which wasn't originally purchased until 2017. So my bumper to bumper goes until early 2020. This is a daily driver for my wife and me, winter and summer, so as much as I wanted new, I couldn't justify the price...- LT1ZOB

At the point of getting rid of our 2016 Denali
Sorry for the newbie question, but doesn't the mag come with a controller in these trucks? Mine is a 16 LS which was ordered with the 20" wheels and rides great, but I don't have the mag on my Tahoe, hence my question. However, I do have it on my 16 Z51 vette and it is fully controllable...- LT1ZOB

Thank you, I do love this thing the more I spend time with it. Reminds me of how much I loved my 07 when I sold it in 09. Mud guards came in today, easy install. Would rather not have them on looks wise, but the tires do a hell of a job chipping the paint without them. It's a year around daily...- LT1ZOB

Thank you James for the diff advice. So far, I'm pleasantly surprised with the selling dealer. The oil is clean and at CORRECT oil level and a brand new air filter. Will get it back today from my local dealer with new wheels and tires and a new 3rd brake light that failed (fogged like a sauna)...- LT1ZOB

Good point blue. Like I said, they’re not great, but decent. Someone at the end of their lease might need them for $150 or so.
