2016 Tahoe - retractable running board vs stationary

How hard would it be to add OEM retractable steps? I know the factory ones have an option to open them manually through the head unit, not sure how going after the fact, will it be programmed.

2016 Tahoe wirelessly charging iPhone X’s now

I have an escalade, the 2017 mat, has a small ridge that blocks off about the last inch or so, With the XS max, the center of the phone is not on the center of the pad. The 2018 mat if flat from front to back. My XS max fits and charges on this fine.

Those w/ 24" - Looking for Tire Recommendations? Experiences?

I run 305/35/24 Nexen Roadians on my 2010 Escalade, my first two sets were great, my third set seemed to either not balance well, or gets "flat spots" where it isn't perfectly smooth first thing in the morning after sitting for a day or so, but smooths out over about 2-3 miles. Overall, I was...

    2018 Tahoe (Silver Ice) 24’s - Lowered

Just curious, how much more is a LTZ over this model?

    Cargo Area

I have the factory rubber mat, and things don't seem to slide around much with it.

I just spent a week in a new 2019 Tahoe LT and compared it to my new Yukon SLT

I beg to differ on the Tahoe/escalade comparison. I would agree if you said Tahoe/Yukon. Escalade interior is much nicer, Gauges are full digital, and it has more power with magnetic ride control standard on all models. But I will say I got to compare my 2017 Escalade to the updated 2018...

    Exhaust Tip for stock exhaust

Part came in today, was a factory GM 6.2L tip. Slipped it on with a little persuasion using my rubber mallet to get where I wanted it. Then tightened with my cordless drill, and torqued down with an impact. Looks good, and it's pretty darn heavy for what it is...

2016 Yukon - Trunk compartment - Black bag?

Zipper at the top I believe. Let me check to see if mine is in the trunk The bag in my trunk was folded in 3, it’s the width of the car but folded it’s about the dimensions you listed. Was this it?

2016 Yukon - Trunk compartment - Black bag?

That was probably the bag that holds the cargo net.

Does it work on the 6.2's? Not sure of the stock tube size.

    Switchback LED's with harness

I have a set of switch back LED's (amber/white) that matches my 6000k fog lights, This is to convert the 2007-2014 Escalade turn signals to turn on with the fog lights to "flood" the lower lamps with light, while retaining an amber turn signal when needed. These were VLED's that way back...

    Should I purchase an Escalade?

No, believe it or not, my insurance was actually cheaper buying the Escalade over the Tahoe. By a significant amount too! I think it has to do with insurance stats, your avaerage Escalade driver is probably some 70 year old man, that isn’t heavy on the pedal, vs the whole gamut of Tahoe drivers.

    Should I purchase an Escalade?

Save up and get the 2018! I own a 2017 and love it, had a 2018 as a loaner, and it was much better driving experience. The car feels a lot faster with the 10 gears and better tuning. Though the Escalades do not come with the brake controller for trailers, so you may want to look into a Tahoe...

    Best insurance company for Tahoe?

I’ve never had an issue with progressive and unfortunately I’m accident prone. My rates do not go up even when I’m in an at fault accident (had one 6 months ago, rate was still the same at renewal). Every time I was in an accident, I was in a rental car as soon as my car was towed. They always...

Lights Lights Lights For 2017 Yukon Denali

maybe do a retro-fit and buy the lens used by acura/audi? If you ever look at early 2000 model audi's (like the audi TT) and Acura TL/TSX from ~8 years ago, the cut off was very sharp, and the lights were very bright. That's because they used a VERY high quality glass projector. It wasn't...

Negative effects of a tuner, and supporting mods?

That's pretty much what I was thinking, Though everything would be "better", wear would be increased due to harder shifts and more pressure which would exacerbate the poor design of our 8 speed transmissions.

Negative effects of a tuner, and supporting mods?

I'm curious, It seems like my torque converter shudder started to develop AFTER I decided to drive my car hard at ~30k miles. I'm wondering with the more aggressive shift points, it was cause the shudder to come back quicker.

    Vinyl Wrap In A Can

I was thinking about doing the silver part of my escalade wheels in gloss black, and leaving the thin chrome spokes alone... Just haven't jumped on it yet.

    Cargo Area

My car came with a net that installs right at the hatch with mounting points on each side, I have a feeling that would stop your problem. I have a factory rubber mat, and that also keeps things from sliding.

After 7 months of ownership, I decided to get rid of my '15 Denali >:(

My boss had a problem with his 8 speed in his corvette. The low speed clunk etc. He now drives a porsche.

    Depreciation!

I agree there are exceptions, Nissan GT-R, lotus exige, Dodge Viper, but those are more limited number cars. But if you look up a 1-2 year old E550 Mercedes, bmw 550i, 1-2 year old Acura RLX, etc those poor owners Better hope they like holding on to thier cars for a few years but the first few...

    Future 2020/21 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban

Wish I had the 10 speed, it drives like a totally different beast. I was content with the 17 till I drove an 18, the 17 always felt like it was tuned for better gas mileage, almost never going over 2k rpm. The 18 seems to always be in the power band. 3k Rpm wasn’t unusual for even casual...
