Do our $$$$$ Escalade's not have an integrated brake controller?
I towed my dad’s 26 ft robalo center console with my 2010 escalade a few Years back. Haven’t tried with my 2017 escalade. I have 24 inch rims on the 2010 and it towed without issue. No brakes on the trailer, but it tracked fine. Needed to brake early though, but we live 5-10 min away from the...- noob

I had a keypad on my 1993 nissan maxima when I was in highschool. Loved it back then, Used to lock the keys in the car when I went to play basketball or football at the park. Anyone color match their trim?
I think black may look "cheap" on a non-black Escalade. So go body colored. Are you going to do the trim on the mirrors also. I'm looking at my escalade right now, wondering what it would look like, but mine is black, so I can go "murdered" out, vs your gray. -

Are you talking about the chrome trim around the windows? Or the pillars between the doors etc? Think painting the chrome is fine but the pillars may look weird -

Guess they realized that wasn’t a make it or break it option for potential buyers. Though I have a 2010 and 2017, I cannot say that is even something I thought of when buying the car. I wanted a comfortable people mover that is tall enough for some slight road flooding down south.- noob

I love my 17 esky, (no vibrations or noises so far) but if I didn’t have it, I would be looking mighty hard at the new navigator. The interior is just beautiful, but the front of the car is ugly- noob

Another option is to wrap the top half of the tail lights on an esky in vinyl to make it look half the size. I was thinking about it on mine, but the looks grew on me. -

Advice needed
Not sure what kinda mileage people are getting out the 5.3’s but I can easily get 18 mpg with the 6.2 if I don’t floor it from time to time.- noob

87 octane vs 91 octane
When you say town, you must mean a lot of rural roads at ~40-50 mph without many stops. I live in a city, and no matter how much I baby it. I'm never going to get close to 20mpg. We have traffic, and a bunch of red lights or stop signs every where we go.- noob

Buying a high mileage Tahoe?
Just remember that at the mileage, you may have to replace shocks, of course like everyone said all the fluids, and see the condition of the belts and water pump.- noob

87 octane vs 91 octane
I run 93 octane almost exclusively. I notice about a 2-3 mpg drop and decreased acceleration on 87 in the past, so I see it as a wash. Edit: my car is a 6.2 liter escalade that says premium fuel only. Hence your mileage my vary on the 5.3L.- noob

Might be cheaper to just sell the Tahoe and get an escalade. Led headlights will be expensive, figuring a way to program them on a car not made for them. I'm POSITIVE it affected my gas mileage for 1. I owned the car for 7 years and use the same gas and monitor my tire pressure. Plus rotating mass/weight takes a bigger toll on your car/drivetrain then weight that the suspension supports. Heavy wheels takes more inertia to get going and stop... -

I checked with Factory replica's and the replica of my Escalade wheels are 40 lbs. The 24 inch Dub Push is 49 lbs. So 9lbs per rim, as far as tires, I'm not sure what that will add. I get 18mpg in my esky (2017) now, my previous esky (2010) one with 24 inch replica's which I would guess is... -
