Traded in the 2016 Yukon Denali for a 2018 GMC Acadia Denali

The 8-speed transmission in the 2016 Yukon Denali is, in my opinion, a failure. The noise in the passenger seat never ceased. OnStar stopped working because of water infiltration into the antenna. The left-front suspension had to be replaced because of noise. I will miss the 6.2 litre V8, but I grew tired of the problems of the 2016 Yukon Denali. So I traded it in for a 2018 GMC Acadia Denali. It is hard to adjust to a smaller vehicle. But it does not have the 8-speed transmission. It has a simple six-speed transmission. So, goodbye, TahoeYukon forums!

Yeah the 8 speed was obviously a flop because they replaced it after 2 years with a much better 10.

Good luck with the Acadia, they’re pretty nice in Denali trim.

Did you consider the new Expedition? I think thats more similar to a Yukon Denali than an Acadia is? Though I have never been in an Acadia so just referencing it from the outside.

I love my 17 esky, (no vibrations or noises so far) but if I didn’t have it, I would be looking mighty hard at the new navigator. The interior is just beautiful, but the front of the car is ugly

I tried talking my into a tahoe but we go a 2017 Acadia all terrain in black. We love it. The 3.6l has tons of power and still can get 30 mpg.

Denalis start at $66,200. So definitely not 18% off.

What does “up to $8k in purchase cash” entail exactly? I’ll have to look into this. Looks like it’s much better now than it was in Feb, at least. I’m seeing 12% off at the 3 dealers I’m interested, but haven’t looked since it’s been March.
