Changed mine from the non-covered cup holders to the covered ones. It is all one piece and just snaps in place. I ordered the part online and then had the dealer swap the covers so I wouldn’t break the clips. The dealer didn’t charge me.
Can’t speak from first hand experience as I haven’t done anything to my ‘16 Sub z71 yet. However, I do remember reading here or elsewhere that someone noticed less roof flutter after a level. I guess it’s possible the airflow changes once leveled, and if you believe the roof is a contributor...
Kind of interesting to see Expedition sales for January down 15%. Im sure inventory is not yet built up but also think there is some sticker shock going on there.
GM moved almost 20,000 fullsize suvs , Ford 4600, Nissan about 4000 and Toyota about 2500.
If you read mark reuss’s recent published comments, he said GM was still struggling with the after effects of the bankruptcy when the current generation of full sizers was engineered and produced. They had to make compromises to get the vehicles to market quickly. He stated his satisfaction...
GM finally ditched the steering wheel offset on the new sikverado so that will likely be the case on the suvs as well.
I’ve had three GM fullsizers with the offset and cant say it’s bothered me but never understood why it was there.
Sad. Day I picked up my 16 suburban I went to parts to inquire about the cost of the Borla exhaust. Guy at counter had no clue. Called someone else over. Neither had ever heard of Borla. They asked me to spell Borla. After 15 minutes of them going through books they took my cell and...
Marginally. I’ve got 40,000 on the original wrangler sra tires and lifetime average mileage as per computer is 17.8. That includes about 3500 miles towing a utility trailer. And airing down made a big difference in ride quality so whatever mpg hit I took, I’ll take.
No doubt some people have unrealistic expectations of a full-size BOF solid rear axle vehicle. But a better compromise could likely have been had. Yes you should feel bumps but it doesn’t need to be as harsh as it is on many variations of this generation.
Lots of owners do and you’ll find plenty of posts on here about it. Hopefully it’s something GM addresses with the upcoming redesign.
Running 3-5lbs lower tire pressure makes a big difference on my suburban z71, but it’s got 18’s so a lot of sidewall to soak up the bumps. Not sure how well...
Huh? You’re comparing the depreciation of a one or two year old Lexus to a brand new Denali. Why aren’t you including the first two years of the lexus’s Depreciation? A brand new lz570 three row STARTS at $89,980. A Denali starts at $65,695. If their five year old value is 10k off five...
Given the buffeting, booming, vibration issues which are all the result of a design attempting to improve mpg, I’m very interested to see how the new generation performs. GM is touting weight savings of almost 500lbs on the Silverado (one would think the suburban will follow suit to an extent)...
Agree that once again ram came up with a nicer interior design and some impressive features when compared to ‘19 Silverado. The exterior is a little more subjective so to each their own. The full size pickup class is changing so quickly now that it would be nice if GM tried to be best in...
Drive them both on extended drives and choose which one suits you best.
I’m been loyal to GM for 20 years but objectively faced with that decision today I’d lean Ford for a variety of reasons, with seating comfort being in the lead.
Those casting doubt on fords 3.5 turbo’s reliability are...
Your current $50k would be worth closer to
Agree with your neighbor about the seats. Can’t stand mine.
But your arguing for something that exists. You can definitely get a Yukon for 55k. When you say you want it to look like a Denali, you mean the grill? The chrome trim?
Power is not the problem for the Acadia/traverse etc. An Traverse will move 5k up a hill just as easily as a suburban. Look at the power to weight ratios. The issues are suspension/brakes/transmission.
You’re saying there is supposed to be an entry level full size BOF suv “average”families can afford? Hate to say it but these vehicles are profit centers. If GM could build a base model and sell it for $40k (fleet pricing says they can) or tart it up and sell it for $60k you know which one the...
Would be pretty disappointing if an all new model wasn’t at the very least competitive with one in its fourth year. I’m not sure either one is decisively better at this point.
Btw the only ‘18 expedition in my area so far is a platinum stickered at $84k! Ambitious pricing by ford, we’ll see...
It’s already far along in development, as are the pickups. Most info says 2020 for the suvs.
Whatever the regulatory environment, this next generation will likely use the same basic formula although I would think we’ll see the 10spd across the board and maybe a turbocharged six as at least...
