Ive used the VHT Nightshades before. I cut apart the lense and sprayed it from the inside then used clear epoxy to put them back together again. This was on a GTI though. Did it about 5the years ago and they still look great.

Welcome to the forum. Nice car you got there. I drag race a 97 Z28 with an LS swap as well. I've poured way too much money into it lol.... Needed a break from that so I'm modding the Tahoe for awhile. :)

This is exactly why I made this post. I wanted to know more about what the brackets did and did not do. I now knkw they have their place/use, but not totally required. I may still get some in the future but as of now, i might dropping my Tahoe this weekend. :)
Thanks to everyone for sharing...
Sweet. Thanks, that helps alot. Those are almost identical to my 4th gen brackets.
The swaybar links are a bit different than I thought, but I might have a work around for those also.

How tall are your tires? Curious to know what the cruise rpms are at 70mph. I have 3.73's now but I'm contemplating going with 4.10 or 4.30's. These 22's with 305/45/22 are really tall (32.80") and killed all the power lol...

So you're saying the geometry of how the rearend moves when lowered, pushes the trans yoke/drivline into the trans. So the remedy is to get adj lower control arms or get the brackets? Does DJM (or anyone for that matter) sell just the relocation brackets? It would help alot if I could actually...
So does the hardware kit relocate the upper or lower trailing arms?

Just curious if anyone is running the 5" rear drop without a hardware kit/relocation brackets on the trailing arms. I'm more interested in the trailing arm brackets, how they affect the ride and if they're totally necessary for a 5" rear drop. I can fabricate a custom adjustable sway bar link...
Thanks man. I'm really getting excited to lower it. Got some used DJM 3" arms on the way, combined with your old 5305 springs for the rear, should be a great combo. :) I'll probably end up trimming those springs down to get a nice even ride height.
