    Look towards reputable companys like Texas Speed, LME, Thompson Motor Sports, etc. Sounds like you are going to do the work yourself so all you really need is a short block.

    Check the hub on the side that hit the curb. You might have bent something causing the bearings to squeel. Jack that side tire up and see if there is and vertical or horizontal play.

    You can find a pull out from a scrap yard for about $6,000. If you have the ability, pull what you have and open it up and see what happened. YOu might get by with a short block only.

    I over thought this as well but in the end went with Michilin Defenders LTX. I would say the Continentals were a real close 2nd. I run those on the wofe and kids BMW's. I am extremely happy with the new Michilins. The ride is so much better than the terrble IronMan's that were on it.

    How did you jump the starter? It sounds to me like a bad starter relay which is on the starter itself. Pull it off and have it checked. It's a quick job. Mine did the same thing and ended up being the starter.

    That's a crazy price. The part can be $35 up to $100 unless they are quoting Kryptonite heavy duty parts. Wild guess but you could replace everything for about $400. If you do it yourself, might as well R/R tie rod ends too.

    They will supposedly only run about 15 minutes when remote started and I have heard that some have issues starting again after that. I haven't experienced that issue but its somewhere on this board.

    Have you thought about just having it tuned? I got some canned tunes with my Diablo tuner and it made a night ad day difference in my 19. I can smoke the tires with traction control off and there are not too many Ford GT's running around my town that I haven't eaten for lunch.

    The PCV acts as a one way valve, you will have issues if you remove it. Anything you catch can be sucked back into the system.
