Getting ready for a pheasant hunting trip to SD. Replaced my temporary duty spare with a full size 22” road worthy spare and made sure I had all the tools and they worked.
Here is the new spare and tucked away under the Suburban. The cardboard is under there because I sprayed some fluid film...
I found a like new 22x9 transport rim which has the same backspace and offset as my 22x9 rims. I want a full size spare with same road tire as I have now, rather than the 17” rim and tire that are currently the spare. I want this mainly for if I have a flat while towing I would have more...
Well no luck so far. They had me go to the factory reset screen and reset all options (that did get the previous owners Kelly Clarkson and other twenty something stuff out of there), then go to software screen and got a confirmation that my software was up to date. THEN they sent several resets...
Same here on my 2019 from Canada. Onstar said take it into the dealer but I think I found on my own that I had to go to setup then restore factory settings, then delete all user info, then delete something else. When i then tried to sign into my Chevy in the car I got a new screen BUT onstar...
First time i looked at this gen I thought those mirrors looked too small. Then first time i drove one I thought those mirrors ARE small! So that is on my list as well.
It is the plastic fascia (that black piece). Part #12 in this drawing. There are four different ones. GM has them plain, with fog lights only, with foglights and ONE tow hook (if you have adaptive cruise), and with fog lights and TWO tow hooks. I bought part number 22936496
The one I have for...
After buying my 2019 I binge read this thread. I wasn't going to do any mods, but you know how that is. Here is my first one... installed tow hooks. Not sure if I am going to reinstall my front license plate holder and drill through the new fascia. If anybody wants the old fascia for fog lights...
We have seen instructions to dealers how to determine if a tune (or non gm files) have been installed. What happens if there is a catastrophic failure and the ins company wants a check done? It says right in the ins paperwork no tuning mods (at least mine does). I'm just curious....
Check into an Endurance or Allstate extended warranty. 100k 6year will be about half. Try to find a local dealer that sells one of those and also provides the service. I have heard third hand that extended warranties can be tough to get the seller to honor claims but I have never seen first...
Realized this weekend on the hunting trip that I traded in the 2011 with the new (replacement) 4 year warranty platinum diehard in it instead of the old one. DOUBLE DOH!!
Purging my 2011 Docs and updated this file. I was missing the 2011 today, but after looking at the numbers (and after towing the camper with the 2019) I am happy with the new one. I think @Doubeleive posted similar numbers a while back.
Two things I learned. First, I seem to have always come out...
Hooked up the camper for a maiden try out before we head out camping/hunting this weekend. The Sub never had a hitch put in the receiver before.
All lights from the Sub work at the trailer. And the Sub seems to be connecting the Sub primary battery to the trailer.
The trans...
Don’t take this the wrong way, but they seem to be praying mostly on women and the elderly. The other people you think they would be praying on are perhaps bankers and financial investors, but I wonder if they have a secret handshake to get a friends deal.
Traded in the 2011 Sub LTZ with 156K for a 2019 Premier with 38K. I drove the 2011 63K trouble free miles, but it developed both trans troubles AND lifter troubles. And, oh ya, RUST around the rear wheel wells. I would have fixed the trans and lifters, but didn't want to deal with the rust. Or...
I use this rolling one from Husky that has an extending handle. I have my subwoofer mounted to it as well. I keep that microfiber cloth there so people don't immediately see how it is chained in. It sticks well enough to the carpet it really does't move around back there. But I don't want it...
