I run a cepek on one truck and the rough country on another. The rough country is a nice lift and you are correct it drops about 5.125"....as do most 6" kits. My cepek drops a full 6.5" and then can crank up from there. a x10 wheel with minimal BS will rub and cutting will need to be done...
Ok, upgraded the tahoe to the Hawk SD pads. They bite well. This thing really stops. I am a true Hawk fan, match them up with some good slotted rotors and you have a win.
Me and my son are coming, he likes to eat and he weighs in tomorrow so after that he gets a break for a bit and needs to make up for lost time.
Worked on the truck for 5 days straight to be able to bring the tahoe instead of the burb.
Donnie, you coming up?
I started a thread about this earlier. those 10" drums are horrible. I did see that people were grinding the lip off the drum (not to be done to a new drum, just the old ones). This allows the brake shoes to slide in better to the true mating surface. Still not great way to adjust these.
Ok, whats the trick? On the 11" drum the adjuster is at the bottom and has a knock out. The 10" is at the top and does not have a knock out. How does one go about adjusting them?
I have tried tightening them up as best possible to the point I can barely get the drum on but once the drum...
Clean them both and covered them up with new all weather covers.
In the process I let me 15 year old drive his first truck today,....the tahoe. It was a humbling experience for him. But noticed that the master cylinder on that is leaking. All my talk about changing the master on the burban...
Ok, test drove it last night. Very happy with this set up. I always had good pedal pressure. That with properly adjusted rears and upgraded front seems to be good.
