That’s awesome and looks great! I have made up several of these and have never came across one like yours lol. Thanks for taking the time to take pics and add the details from yours!
Wow sorry everyone, I haven’t got any alerts that people were posting in this thread. I guess the best way to get in touch with me is through pm. I don’t have any made at the moment but hopefully will have some time before long to make a few.
I honestly never measured anything lol I just put several gallons in the water and a ton of tabs. I just kept adding until it felt right lol, obviously not enough though I guess. I also didn’t have a way to add hot water I just used normal temp water from the tap. Not going to lie he has me...
I missed this post that you made, love your Nali looks super good. I actually had put the same hood on mine last Thursday lol. Here’s a more recent pic of mine and I also threw a couple of my other grill after the bleach trick. This was after letting it set all weekend probably 3 times or so.
Lmao I did try a heat gun but never tried the torch haha. I actually got super lucky and picked up an extra Denali grill from my local scrap yard to experiment on so I didn’t have to ruin the one I was using.
I’ve tried the oven cleaner, and the brake fluid trick and neither of those worked on mine either unfortunately. The only thing that I have found that even remotely started to work was bleach and a ton of Chlorine tabs and water. Only problem is that the grill is so big I would basically fill up...
Thanks! I have been looking to go a more permanent route for blacking mine out. I wanted to get it painted but the first rock that hits it will let the chrome show through. So I thought getting it wrapped would work, but they said they wouldn’t be able to do the middle because there wasn’t...
This is mine. I have been trying to figure out a way to remove the chrome from the grill to get it painted black but haven’t been successfully. How did you do yours?
So, my Yukon started leaking around the sunroof gasket. Instead of replacing the seal the previous owner just put a bunch of silicone around it to permanently seal it. I have been trying to find the replacement gasket for between the glass and roof but haven’t had any luck finding an OEM...
This yellowish wire under the dash is the one that you are looking for. Last plug, bottom row 4th pin from the right hand side. I just tapped into it for mine, the purple wire is the wire to my head unit. Hope this helps!
I went to the local junkyard today And I was able to find one 04-06 donor nbs. I pulled the factory plug, I’m going to plug it in and splice the wires when I get the time and see if it works. If it does (like it should) it will be a pretty big win consti picked it up for $2!
Does anyone have a schematic for the plugs not used in this black box located under the dash? I’m looking to see if anyone has a diagram of what the pins are like ground, ignition, constant, etc. any help is appreciated!
Ok, so I have a question about the wiring to the rear entertainment system. Basically what I did was remove the old factory unit and replace it with an aftermarket monitor. I then removed the factory 6 CD changer and fitted an aftermarket dvd drive in its place so I could play movies in the...
It cleaned up pretty good, I think it will be ok. My only guess as to what they would have put the silicone on it for would be to hold that ring in place after putting the new oil pump in? That’s the only thing I can possibly think of.
I’m replacing mine as we speak. I had my pan and pickup tube cleaned at a local machine shop. I got them both back today and impressed is an understatement, they look brand new! When I took the pickup tube out they had silicone around the ring and bolt that that connects to the oil pump. I...
In the 00-03 models I think it’s in the driver side rear panel. You should see like a speaker spot above the tire jack. 04-06 models are in the console.
I use the jdm Astars in my reverse lights and I highly recommend them, they are super bright and look great. As for the drls I use a set of the 4114 bulbs from hidkitpros.com. They are super nice as well and they back them with a 2 year warranty I believe. I have been running mine for over a...
I forgot to mention, for the dvd drive I gutted the old 6 cd changer and used the housing for the mount. I was able to take it apart and place the DVD player inside of it. I did have to Dremel the back a little bit for the rca cables to go through but it was pretty easy and gave the perfect fit.
