    AC Blend Door Actuator Broke

After everything is removed. It all bolts up through the firewall. You can see the holes where the screws went through

    AC Blend Door Actuator Broke

You have to remove literally damn near the entire dash to get to this point lol

    AC Blend Door Actuator Broke

Well buddy, so far no good. I haven't been able to find a way to separate the two Halves of the box. I took all the screws out removed the heater core, but it looks like plastic rivets are holding it together as well as the screws I removed. I will post a couple pics of pulling it out so you can...

esky applique. color match or black

I have been really up in the air on doing this mod. Has anyone had their factory plastics color matched? I kind of like the look of the factories but don't know if I would like them better painted or stock.

    AC Blend Door Actuator Broke

Tell me about it, I was sick when I broke mine lol. I'm pretty certain it's going to be a big job and probably take half the day easy. I was hoping I would just be able to turn it manually, but unfortunately the way mine broke I can't move it so one side blows 90 and the other 60 lol. At least...

    AC Blend Door Actuator Broke

I just did the same thing with my passenger side blend door actuator lol. I am going to go to the junk yard this weekend and pull the entire HVAC assembly out of one they have there and see if there is a way to get in there and just replace the door. I'm sure it all comes apart somehow to where...

I heard you guys like custom sub enclosures....

No kidding that's pretty sweet, I would have never guessed that's how you did it. I was trying to figure out a way to put a bigger touch screen in mine but had a hell of a time finding anytimg bigger than a 7" screen and ended up giving up and just putting the 7" in.

    Double din

I put one in mine and it wasn't too terrible. I had to have a lot of interfaces for everything to work. One for the bose, one for the steering wheel controls, then I had to buy a new xm vehicle kit for the xm to work with my new indash but i was able to use the factory antenna. As far as...

    Best backup camera install

Haha thanks guys I appreciate it! I figured it wasn't too crazy hard and someone else might want to try it. It's a good alternative for where to put it, because believe me I looked high and low for where people put them and I never really did find a spot I liked. Doing it this way it's hidden...

    Best backup camera install

Thanks it's my first so I was hoping it would turn out alright lol If anyone tries it let me know how it turns out for them. I'm hoping I was able to explain everything well enough for them to do it on their own.

All you need to do now is replace the metal piece on the very end and put the washer and lock ring back on.

You can now replace the white piece that that snaps in the back and covers everything but before you, you will need to notch a hole in the side to allow the camera wires to slide through. This is about the perfect spot to put the hole.

Now it's time to put it all back together. Replace the spring then the ring that goes over it all. I used a pair of thin needle nose pliers to compress everything down enough to put the pin back in that holds it all down. This can be a pain but it can be done lol

    Best backup camera install

When all of that is completed you will need to take the cap (button part) off again and get the body and temporarily mount it all up inside the truck. You will need the power and video ran to complete this part. You will need to hook it all up and turn the camera until it is in the right...

    Best backup camera install

Now that you have all of that done you will need to put everything together and check the fit of it all. This is what it should all look like together again. I promise it gets easier after this lol.

Now for the next step you will need to drill and file the center part of your push button out for the camera lense hole. You will only need to drill the very center only the recessed part, leave the curved edges intact. Easier yet, if you have or can get ahold of one of the push buttons that is...

This is what it should look like when you are done. I tried to get pictures of it the best I could.

    Best backup camera install

Now that you have that done, you will need to drill out the center of the keyed part, and notch one side out with the dremel. This will allow for the wire lay inside of it. I also drilled a hole at the end of where my notch was going to stop. Be very careful when doing this because there is a...
