FYI for future members, if you use the PAC interface it has both the Bose interface and steering wheel controls in one. Not sure about the XM though
Must not have been the PAC interface I just installed. I put in the PAC OS-2X. It's steering wheel control ready, meaning they have a wiring harness partially done for it. You still need to buy a steering wheel interface. I used the PAC SWI-RC for it. Do you have a part number that has them both combined?
Yea, it's the PAC RP5-GM11 that you need. It's an all in one interface, works with both the amplified and non-amplified systems. Super easy to install too, you just wire everything up to the aftermarket stereo's wiring harness in the comfort of your living room, then take it all out and plug-n-play.
If you scroll down a few posts to Just another Pioneer double din install, that's the setup I just put in. Well, a two part PAC setup but that was still pretty easy.Good, because it's the setup I just bought. And I'm picking up the Pioneer AVH-X490BS from FedEx after work today. That along with an Esky back up camera, I'm hoping for a somewhat simple install. While I'm in there, I'm replacing cluster lights with LED's.
