Local Seattle area Tint Shop Chrome blackout

Hey George, what shop were you at? I am in the Olympia area and am always looking for a good shop. Further south of Seattle, there is Polished Image in Fife (great shop, all high-end vehicles) and Diamond Detail in Puyallup who I have had great luck with. The front end of that white Denali...

Looks amazing! Did you order all of your parts through Tony (NorcalSS) or did you order through a different location?

Front end. Need to rebuild the front end.

can you switch to aluminum if you originally have steel, or does that affect everything else that was set up from factory? Would be nice to drop some lbs of un-sprung weight...

    Future 2020/21 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban

Decisions decisions... I like the exterior of the High Country Suburban the best, but not a fan of the interior, but really like the Denali interior, but not a fan of the exterior... sucks...

    Looking to upgrade brakes

No, not worth changing the calipers unless you plan on really pounding it hard with late braking or towing a very large trailer. There are numerous places to find braided lines. Wilwood, Stoptech, Baer, Brembo all have some, but you can go through just about anyone for lines. I think I got...

Denali Owners - Can you use smaller wheels?

I step down to a 17" in the winter with a Blizzack snow tire from my summer tires. Be careful going to a "BFG all-terrain" just for winter thinking it will be much better. The rubber compound is not necessarily designed for winter driving (aka: stopping on ice) There are numerous winter tires...

    Looking to upgrade brakes

I definitely agree with everything mentioned above. I made the mistake of getting the cross drilled rotors from R1 concepts and while they were great initially, I warped them fairly quickly and they squeal like crazy unless you're doing super hard braking. For daily duty, they are overkill and...

Matt's Yukon XL 2500 (Giant Silver Unicorn) Build

That could happen to anyone, and most definitely sounds like something I would do as well. At least you didn't have to send the lines back for others and they're installed! I love the build so far and look forward to seeing how the bags help the rear! Joe

    Rear window defogger

Has anyone seen where the metal connects the wire to the glass on the rear hatch come off? I had used my remote start and when I had the lift gate up, I heard a "sizzle" sound and then "pop" and then the rear wire with metal connector just hung from the top of the gate. Has anyone else had...

How long have your OEM air ride shocks lasted?

Do you happen to know which fuse it is? I haven't found it in my previous searches.

How long have your OEM air ride shocks lasted?

I noticed back in September when I was going through a move and started using a heavy 10' dual axle dump trailer that I think I finally cooked my rear shocks and system. The compressor is running all of the time now and the Yukon feels extremely sloppy now. I don't have error messages yet, but...

    Real MPG on Denali?

My 08 currently gets 10mpg in the city and 13 mpg on freeway. I'm at 123k miles though and have noticed a significant drop in the last 30k miles. Up until I hit 90k miles I routinely got 18mpg mixed driving. I drive fairly conservative except for freeway on ramps. I would love to trade for a...

Light lenses? Best bulbs for dark interior? share your interior lighting projects

I had white LED bulbs in the interior of my Denali, but they kept flickering and going bad. I wound up going through about 5 or 6 different sets and finally got fed up with constantly changing the bulbs every couple months... so I went back to the stock bulbs and haven't had a lick of trouble...
