I've done 93 in mine...and that was by accident. I don't normally push anything higher than 80-85. I have never tried to max her out though...I suspect my age has calmed me down a bit. Lol.
Sorry to hear this, mine did fit perfect. They even got better with time. My other two cars fit perfect as well. I only have the front mats so I can't speak about any of the others.
I too have one for sale. It's got a few holes in it from some wiring that was stuffed in there, but generally in good shape. PM me if you don't have luck elsewhere and I can send a few pics.
At minimum I would suggest the following;
(depending on cash flow of course)
CAI (Cold Air Intake) to get some more/better o2 into the motor.
BlackBear Tune. Will give a little more oomph like you are looking for.
Both of these upgrade are inexpensive and reliable.
good luck and keep...
I have the WeatherTech Floor Liner DigitalFit's in my 96 and swear by them. I have them for my other two cars as well and they work equally as well in them too. But they are pricey and if you can land a deal with Atomic, I'm sure you won't be unhappy. the Catch-All's look very nice.
Here is a...
Yes, I am aware it's a height proportion, but I do apprecitate the actual math on this, I can use that in the future.
I was thinking in the range of 275 or 285 /60-20.
Anyone have pics of an OBS with 20s with high profile tires. Something like 55-70R's? The relation would be similar to the stock tires on the newer Chevys dodges or fords.
I am trying to get a sense of what this would look like with stock suspension.
Thanks
So I have been thinking about painting my rims for a while now. I had started another thread about it, but in this one, I wanted to post a pic.
Here is a pic of the truck. I am thinking about painting the rims a Graphite color.
Any thoughts on other colors that might be interesting looking...
I have had this on my to-do list for about 4 months now. Going to repaint them to color match to the body. In my case, blue. I think it will be a really nice touch that sets my rig apart from many.
As long as you get the correct color match paint, then I would think a good sanding with 300...
So I got the order from LMC...the light are totally wrong. Sizing is off and no mount brackets. Instead I decided to build some brackets for some 55w lights I had in my shop. We will see how it goes, but I am still on the hunt for the OEM brackets and correct size lights. I did this just to fill...
I talked with one of the graphic designers at work today about color (I work for Pantone). Some of the color options we were thinking about were...
Gunmetal gray
Titanium
Graphite.
Graphite was the higher on the list because of it's ability to look really rich and deep from different angles...
Anyone have pics or links to OBS rims that have been painted?
I have a vision in my head of my OBS 16" rims painted in a Gun metal grey or charcoal grey that I think might be very cool looking on my 2dr's dark blue body and chrome bumpers. I also had the same thought for the set of 17" ZR71...
sparg,
I was not aware there was a BB tune in Jersey coming up. I might have to check that out. I got my BBT back in Feb so I am solid there. I also ordered the lights from LMC so I will post more pics when it's complete.
sokr915,
Nice!
What size tires/rims are you running. The stance...
I did it! Love that bumper. I bought mine from LMC. Install was simple and straightforward. I have yet to buy or install the lights. LMC also sells the lights, but I have not gotten that far. Hopefully in the next two weeks I will have the lights and get them installed. Also, my lower valance...
Was driving on Rt17 north in Maywood, NJ in heavy traffic(3-5mph crawl) a guy in a Jeep GC pulled up next to me...
Guy: "Hey what year is that"
Me: it's a 96
Guy: "Real nice looking, I really love those older Chevy's, yours looks great"
Me: Thanks
Guy: "If I can find a good one I am...
I would really like to add a trip computer to my 1996 Tahoe 2dr with the 5.7L. I am really only looking for some additional info on mileage and temps etc.
Can anyone recommend a unit that might fit my model year and basic Info i seek?
Thanks
MWNT
Look behind the pass side rear panel. There should be some room there, or you can cut some interior sheet metal and create some room. Driver side might have some room there as well.
In my 2dr, I have both stereo amps behind the pass side rear panel...
I have just heard of a term called "Waste Spark" that occurs in GM coil packs for mid 90's - mid 2000 models.
It was described as the following:
Those coils fire two cylinders at a time, not independently. It's called 'waste spark' and since a cylinder will have combustible gases in it...
