Best 4L60E trans?
Performabuilt And Transbuilderguy a member on performance trucks.net If, and this is a big, if. I was to ever rebuild a 4l60 it would only go to one of those two. Now thats said, i wouldnt rebuold a 60, i would swap in a 80. Even bone stock and used ot handles mpre power than a built 60...- ezdaar

Yes, difinatly use oem exhaust gaskets. Alot of guys reuse their old gaskets, but me? Im replacing those hookers with fresh gaskets. Simple logic dictates, "why re-use a 25$ set pf gaskets that only saves me a couple bucks. But if they fail, costs me a couple hours of time to replace them."- ezdaar

Dont waste your time with a single din. Get a mid level dbl din with usb and bluetooth. If you need to remove wallet from pocket and stow it into a cubby, you wallets full of trash. Empty that thing.- ezdaar

Swapping radios in these vehicles is so easy i can do it in my sleep. There are some nit picky things you must do to get a full size (think pioneer dbl din) to fit. But any monkey with a pair of pliers can do it. The only hard part of the install is fitting the massive wire harness into the...- ezdaar

unplug the one by passenger feets. see if any controls stop working. if they do then its the one behind radio. If nothing chages, thats the one. -

There is two of them, one up behind radio and other to left and above passenger feet. Remove them both. write down model numbers. re install them. EBAY or rock auto for replacements. tell stealership to get lost. do it yourself.
