07 denali, full time awd with stabiltrac
Transfer case in owners manual say dex 3, dex 6 replaced 3 in transmissions, is this the same in transfer cases? Can I use 6? I have some left over from trans fluid change and would like to use it up
Thanks
So just an update since no one ever updates the end of threads like this so it makes searching kind of useless:
I dropped the pan this weekend using a hybrid of the two ways I was planning on using.
I pumped from the radiator hookup (like the video shows) until I saw air bubbles. Probably...
Honestly not sure, only had the vehicle a few weeks and I dont think its seen WOT.... I may have done it on the test drive but it could have only been 3/4....
I was gonna pull a cooler line off and flush, but I think I wll go against that logic and just make a mess... better do this in the...
Title pretty much says it all, I think the fluid is a bit burnt, have a little bit of whine, and just a slight hesitation when put into Drive for a second then it "clicks" in.....
I have heard a bunch of horror storys about flushing higher mileage transmission and I think the previous owner...
I have not done a mechanical gauge to verify, I believe the sender port is some odd ball size threads from what I have read.. still trying to track one down that will work
So I have some on going low oil pressure on my wifes 07 Yukon denali 6.2. We bought it with what turned out to be a faulty pressure sensor and now Im trying to make the best of it.
I have replace the sender, and know about the screen under it.
I have also done a seafoam engine flush (hey, it...
So I got mine pumping up, and that is working, but now I seem to have a leak, the compressor will go out if I keep driving it like this, it seems to kick on every few minutes. Odd thing is after I drive it for awhile it doesnt anymore, but its in a protection mode...
I climbed under there with...
What I am mean is it literally extends all the way up, gets to the top and then immediately tries to shut. At that point you either force it back up with your hand which seems really bad for it, or if you press the "shut" button on the tailgate it stays up... which is what I don't understand...
were you able to reinstall the bolt the same way, or did you grind the tab and spun the flange?
Also, thought of another question, do you have to shim the oil pump when putting it on? I have seen some LS guys say to do it, others make no mention of it.
Did you remove the internal gears when...
I'm going to tackle the oil pump on my wife's 07 Yukon Denali. We have an oil pressure issue at hot idle (10-15 psi) and I have done the "Cheaper fixes" first:
Oil pressure sensor
New filter/oil
Valve lifter oil filter
etc
I am not even totally certain its the pump, it could be the:
Pump
O...
I am thinking someone else took it out. I tried to use a normal length pick and never found a filter. I bottomed the length of pick out on the threads for the sending unit so it was inserted into the hole a good 3-4 inches... the valve lifter filter sits RIGHT below the sending unit correct? As...
Who here has done this themselves? I recently changed my oil pressure sensor and went to change out filter and could not feel one down there. I did not removing anything so clearance was tight and could not see down the port hole. I was wondering who has done it and how far "down" the filter...
I know this thread is a bit old but I'm hoping it catches someone's eye. I have had these same problems and tried to replace the sending unit to help.
My question is though, how far in or "deep" does the filter below the sensor sit? I pushed my pick all the way in (3-4" depth) and never felt...
The more I think about it I'm kind of convinced the shocks are aftermarket non air ride. That would explain why it won't air up even though the compressor is on. That would also explain the aftermarket coils, or at least not in stock. The only part that really throws me is the airlines still...
Im trying to get this system working correctly, but not sure I even know what that really means lol
I had a service suspension DIC and had the codes pulled. One was the exhaust valve that usually means a corroded wire. Found it, and replaced/temporary fixed it last night around 11pm (Had to be...
I recently bought a 2007 Denali for my wife.
It seems to have a non factory dipstick in it, and the hash marks are wrong. It looks like its waaaay overfilled, to the point I drained the oil the dealer just changed before we purchased it because I was convinced it had 2 quarts too much. Low and...
Long story short, my wife and I just bought a 07 Denali XL.
I have had pretty good luck with GM this will be my 5th GM vehicle.
With that said it has some quirks, most of which I have had luck googling about how to fix them.
The lift gate however does something I havent read about. When you...
