    How To Remove Shifter Handle?

Sorry to hear this. I have a Jeep CJ and much of it is/was rusted torx, I hate them. Two tricks to remove rusted torx are to weld a bolt to the torx and remove with a socket, clearly not an option, but the second is to dremel (or similar tool) groove in the top and use a screwdriver to remove...

    Denali cluster overlay problem

Thanks again, Aaron_L. You were right about the light bleeding through. Once I had your suggestion and time to take a closer look, turns out the chrome ring around the tach was out of place. Once put back in place, the problem was solved. Thanks again

    Denali cluster overlay problem

Thanks, Aaron_L. Only the bezel was changed, the overlay was not removed, so I must have inadvertently scraped off the color. I'll certainly check for the bleeding issue you mention. Hopefully I get lucky with matching the color.

    Denali cluster overlay problem

Hello, I replaced the bezel with an escalade type bezel, which seemed to go well until it got dark and the dash lights illuminated a portion of the tachometer that is no longer green. Please see pic. Does anyone know if the color on the face of the overlay and I somehow rubbed it off? Or, is...

03-06 Yukon Denali Woodgrain Steering Wheel

Ah, so you understand. I replaced the compressor when it burned out from the leak in the air shock - ugh. I tell myself it would have needed to be replaced eventually :)

03-06 Yukon Denali Woodgrain Steering Wheel

Thank you. I am pretty excited. I've always wanted one but couldn't quite justify the cost of a new one, especially after replacing the air shocks. I know, I could have gone cheaper than the AC Delco replacement shocks and saved a couple of hundred, but I live on Staten Island and the roads...

Gauge needle replacement - correct method?

Thank you for the quick reply. So, you put the cluster back in w/o the needles and lens, turn key to run and then put needles back in while cluster is in the car? Now that you mention the stop position, one of the videos did mention a stop position and turning the needles counter clockwise to...

Gauge needle replacement - correct method?

Hello, I will be changing my 2006 Denali gauges to white, which requires removing the gauge needles, of course. I have researched the correct method for reinstalling, including write ups and videos, and there appear to be different methods. For those that have done this, what is the correct...

    Factory over-head dvd player AUX

Subscribed. I am also interested, because although the DVD player works fine for the kids at their current ages, I would like to be able to play my iphone through the stereo w/o having to use RCA cables to the RCA jacks and this might be a way to do so also.

Thanks, guys. I couldn't find an alternative either. Maybe I'll get lucky also.

Lower bumper grill insert (Denali down under)

Hello, I am interested in buying the lower grill insert to match the main grill, and it appears the Denali down under grill is sold out. Does anyone know if this is still available, or is there an alternative that I have not been able to find? Thanks in advance

    Powder-coated OEM Denali Wheels

Oh, you're lucky your rims still look new. Treehan - Thanks, and painted rims look really good. I think if we went this route, I would have them powder coated bc I plan on keeping our Denali until it's too unreliable for my wife to drive with the kids. For now, the rims are 20 footers and...

    Powder-coated OEM Denali Wheels

Do you live in a warm climate? My rims were in brand new condition when I bough them. A few winters later, they are corroded and peeling.

    Powder-coated OEM Denali Wheels

I don't, but would like to see pics also. My rims are peeling and corroding, and I am considering doing this when the condition worsens. I assume the chrome has to be removed prior to powder coating?

    OEM / Stock Muffler

Oh, gotcha. No, definitely do not consider Walker quality stainless, especially after my experience. I have a CJ7 with a Borla cat back, which I consider a good stainless exhaust. Yeah, the weather is an issue in the North - for me and vehicles. However, and I am embarrassed to admit this, it...

    OEM / Stock Muffler

Not sure where you read that I consider the Walker a decent stainless muffler. My position is that while the OEM muffler has lasted 10 years for me as well, for the $700-800 price one could purchase a decent cat back (ie, magnaflow, not corsa), or from what I've read on this forum, one could...
