Dealer responded to me today asking me what out the door price I am looking for. What would be the best answer to this question? Im thinking 64k OTD is a reasonable price for the above mentioned vehicle. Thoughts?
If that is what you paid for a custom order loaded 4x4 denali, and I am looking at a 4x2 with only 1 or 2 options than it is a shit deal (for me).
I will wait and see how much Laura marks down their pricing in August.
If laura comes close to 18% in august this year then I will pull the trigger with them. I dont need to pull the trigger immediately and can wait to see what august brings. I know I can always get 7.5% below MSRP, no reason to not wait and see the August incentives.
Here are my thoughts and what I am going to counter. Would love your assistance/input.
Laura has a 2017 Denali on the lot with:
Open Road Package
4x4
20" rims
ACC
$65,284
Denali I am looking at:
4x2
Silver
Black interior
Power steps
ACC
Open Road Package
$71,982
If I am using Laura's price...
Received a quote from my local dealership
Yukon Denali
4x2
Silver
Black interior
Power steps
ACC
Open Road Package
$71,982
Apparently there are 0 incentives for the month of july on the Denali line. Im ready to buy but these numbers are absolute garbage. Even Laura's prices seem higher than...
I am ready to pull the trigger on a new Yukon Denali today. So here is my question.
It is already July. Is it smart to:
A) Wait for the 2018 to arrive on dealer lots as its only a few months away
B) Grab whatever deals I can and avoid the issues caused from a new 10 speed tranny as opposed to...
My second thought on buying the vehicle right now is that the the 2018 will be out by December. Am i doing myself a giant disservice to but a 2017 that will be a year old within 5 months of ownership?
The Laura pricing is the best way to go if I just want to suck it up and get the 4x4. But...
There is a dealer right near me that has close to the exact vehicle I am looking for. It is a 4x2 but has the power running boards and enhanced security system (the only 2 things on the truck I dont want).
I think if I can get him to match Laura's price then that is the way to go. If not then...
i am ready to pull the trigger on a yukon. Only problem is I can't find any that are built the way I want.
Laura has a pretty close vehicle to what I am looking for but it's a 4x4. I live in texas and don't really need the 4x4 capabilities.
Is it worth it to just get the 4x4 and save myself...
I was at my GMC dealer today. They said theres a rumor that the 2018 will have a surround view camera since the Acadia Denali has the system. Anyone heard a similar rumor?
The only argument to going to a dealership is it shows far more commitment to purchase. You're there, in person, telling them that you will do the deal today. They can physically watch the money walk out the door should they choose to.
Email is far easier and you can cover more dealerships in...
How do you do a craigslist vehicle sale? I mean are the vehicles you are selling only 3-4k or are we talking about a 20-30k vehicle? Im just curious if they show up with cash, write you a check (which is sketchy), etc. I think id rather trade my vehicle in to a dealership than have to meet with...
I am formulating my email to send to dealers in my area. Would love everyones feedback on format, what you would change, and pricing that I am requesting

Good Afternoon,
I am ready to move forward on a purchase of a 2017 Yukon Denali 4x2. Below are the specs of the vehicle that I am...
I am extremely surprised to hear all the negative reviews about the MRC. I need to go test drive the SLT and Denali to compare the two. For sure thought the MRC would be a major selling point and not a detraction.
What are your thoughts on an ask of $61,364 ('17 Denali, 2WD, ACC, Sun package).
Basically I am taking the LauraGMC price of a '17 4WD Denali and subtracting 3k (the cost of the 4wd system). Everything else on the vehicles are the same.
Do you think that is a fair negotiating standpoint?
When test driving a Yukon or Tahoe, what are the best ways to test the vehicle for "Buffeting" or the steering vibrations. Are their distinctive speeds or roads that will truly test the vehicle?

All extremely solid advice. My game plan is to use the LauraGMC pricing as my negotiating point. If I can use that price point as my base, tell them I need X amount for my trade in, and make sure my APR is relatively low then I should be all set.
My trick is going to be bringing in...
I think I am going to pull the trigger on a 2017 Denali.
I wanted to see what sort of tips/tricks each of you used to negotiate down the price of your vehicles. Did you call up Laura GMC and use them as leverage against a local dealership? Print out a Truecar certificate? What is your secret...
Thank you for all the input. Its sounding like the 10 speed might be more of a hinderance than a help. Im going to shop around and see the lowest pricing I can get on a '17. Cant wait for the old "let me talk to my manager" routine.
In the latest press release, GMC stated that the 10 speed transmission will be coming in the 2018 GMC Denali.
Is it worth waiting for? What sort of realistic benefits will come from the 10 speed compared to the current 8 speed? Any fear of being the first to adopt or should it be relatively...
Care to elaborate? I have ACC in my Grand Cherokee and love it for long drives. As for the MRC, I havent driven a Yukon without it but it seemed pretty smooth in the Denali I drove.
According to their press release the 2018 is getting the 10 speed.
