One last thing...Make sure you are adding the proper amount of oil! With a PF-61e filter that would be somewhere close to 7 quarts! Your dipstick might be a non original as well. And also put on a ACDelco filter just to rule it out per the TSB from GM.
Seems like you've covered a bit already. My only remaining concern would be to check that the correct ACDelco PF-46 oil filter is being used. And also it seems per the owners manual that 5W-30 synthetic is the recommended grade of oil that covers a wide range of owners situations. Try that as...
Make sure your using an ACDelco PF-61e or PF-46e filter. There are a few service bulletins regarding it. If that don't fix the issue then at least it's been ruled out...
It's my opinion it won't work. Go ahead and put it in. It's your car. You do realize it's just isopropyl alcohol... No detergents or solvents. Pretty mild. SF was never meant to be used when flushing an engine. That prescription just ain't on the bottle.
Sea foam really isn't meant to be added to your oil. Just intake and fuel system. SF is primarily a fuel system drier comprised of mostly isopropyl alcohol..nothing else.
You may be suffering from a slight filter screen blockage. You can remove the oil pressure switch and take it out spray some carb cleaner on it in reverse flow direction. May want to replace pressure switch which is cheap insurance at your mileage.
If your up to it I would then try an oil...
I only see 30 psi at idle when stopped at an intersection for instance. This would be hot ambient temps as well. Roughly 40 -60 psi any other time driving. Is your oil pressure needle moving relative to throttle input/load?
I have confirmed that the heater fan dies only when rolling up or down window. That's what I just replaced. Hmm. Starting to wonder if I have a battery/alternator issue. Going to check resistor and connector this evening.
Yeah i guess I could look at the resistor again. I replaced the wiring connector around 5 years ago when i replaced the head unit. i remember that cover under the dash taking a long time to remove due to obscure srews holding it up. I think I'll pass on that for now unless it becomes more...
Hello everyone. The other day after replacing the drivers side window motor on my 05 Tahoe I noticed my heater fan turning off for a few seconds and then comes back on and continues blowing like normal. It's got automatic controls. I'm also not sure if doing any work on the window motor is just...
Update:
Hello everyone. It's been a few days and the truck is running nice. I have been driving every day in the city for a week and noticed the engine has much smoother acceleration. The previous idle shakiness rough idle is mostly eliminated. City/hwy mileage seemed best today and hovered...
It's been almost a week. Engine seems to run smoother over past few days...but today my engine idle feels rough again. I bought 2 more cans and will run those with only a few gallons added to an empty tank. Will report back.
Well its a random event and the engine seems to have plenty of power at WOT. The transmission seems to not want to downshift at random times. I'll check the ECT and MAF sensors as well. Hope this isnt the blown intake gasket issue, I just replaced that a few years ago. Also, my cruise control...
I noticed this morning my engine was misbehaving more so than usual. I noticed that when it idles and maybe off idle?...the engine randomly shudders or misfires. Feels like someone cycled the key very quickly. Almost feel like the engine is about to stall. So I bought some Berryman cleaner and...
Greetings fellow Tahoe/Yukon fans. I am in need of some expert troubleshooting advice. My truck started making a new noise and was wondering if anybody here has experience figuring out where the noise is coming from exactly. I get a creaking/squeaking coming from the right front wheel-well...
I am selling both my front Z55 shocks as I put on new ACDelco Z55 shocks. It seems these oem Delphi shocks ride similar to the new BWI shocks. They both have about 90k on them. Selling $40 for one or $75 for both. Thanks!
The prev owner of my 2005 Tahoe put Arnott AS-2708 on the rear to replace the 7-8 year old Delphi air ride z55 shocks. I Just replaced them again. So got another 8 years. Seem to work fine. No more body roll side to side when turning. The Arnotts were obviously worn out. I dont know if they...
Looks like Magneride was on upscale models. I would imagine its going to feel different. Everything suspension wise is geared towards comfort as we all know. Is there a ride select switch (sport/ tow/comfort) on the 07-14?
I think it's pretty clear that the 3rd gen Z95 sjocksa shocks different than the 2nx generation Z55.
inresistance (ohms) with a multimeter it should be twice or half the resistance of the Z55 shocks.
The difference in shock part numbers looks to be centered around the body style. From what I've gathered...shocks meant for 2006+ may affect ride comfort if installed in 2000 - 2005 Tahoe's. I think this is due to longer shock length to support 20" rims. For those purposes I am sticking with the...
To be sure you would need to know if the new controller is backwards compatible both electrically and mechanically with connectors and such.
You would think you would get a Service Stabilatrack or similar in the DIC if you installed a newer shock and the computer didn't like it/couldn't control it
I don't think there are any coincidences.Let me double check the brake action before leading into costly repair shops. I don't think it's that serious of an issue. The pull when braking is not that severe.
