So I've decided to finally fix my parking brakes that haven't worked in years while I'm doing a brake job. I have a 2003 GMC Yukon Denali.
So far I replaces both side actuators and put in new brake shoes. In the middle of installing one side only, my stupid self went to test if the parking...
Nice truck man,
What size tires do you think that person is running on that Yukon? I was thinking they're 35s or something.

I found this picture of someone's truck and I wanted to know if someone here knows or has a similar wheel/tire setup in this pic. I want to aim for a similar look for my 2003 GMC Yukon as well if anyone could help that'll be awesome.
The truck has the same 3-inch lift kit as me also.
I eventually got around to do it, I had final exams so I didnt have time then. What I did for now was I changed the filter and replaced the fluid that came out. I also realized I had a leak in one the lines so I had to fix that too.
I eventually want to do what was done in that video posted in...
Yeah that's what we did with my dad's suburban, my friend has new magnets at our job I'll just use one of those for my Denali as well

True, I have the 4l60e trans and I believe it holds 6 quarts for the pan alone and 12 for the entire system. I'm not too sure though

Great! That explains it better than the video, thanks man. I'll be tackling that on a weekend. I appreciate everyone's help.

I dont want to risk using the machine to flush out the fluid, I dont think my dad serviced it at all after the rebuild.
But about that video, is it safe to do that? My truck doesnt take a whole lot of quarts in the entire trans and I'm scared I might run it with no fluid for a moment.
Also...
My friend at my job uses his machine that flushes atf out school buses and he also used It on my dad's 08 suburban. I dont know much about it but he hooked up both trans cooler lines to the feed and return and the fluid was being pushed out and new fluid being added.
Is that what you're...
I would say about 30 or 50k miles ago, so would it be best just to change the fluid and filter? It doesn't look burnt up at all just brown with a tint of red.

I've had my transmission rebuilt some time ago in my 2003 GMC Yukon Denali AWD and I'm changing both my differential and transfer case fluids. I also am planning to replace the transmission fluid filter so here is my question..
Should I just change my fluid that comes out the pan or should I...
Thanks for the advice, i'll keep all that in mind.
Also do you think it's a good idea to replace my master cylinder as well? I can't remember the time where the brakes were firm like my dads 08 chevy suburban, the fluid in my truck isn't the cleanest too.
Yeah I figured I ask my friend and he told me the same, come to think about it that's how my dad and his friend replaced the rear line when it bursted before he gave this truck to me

So if my front driver side brake line is leaking would I still go by that same diagram with 5 lines?
Like I said I just want to fix the leak for now and replace the others after winter

I've seen that picture, but the one on my truck has 4 lines on top and 2 lines under it, not too sure if it's the same, what do you think?
And the whole kit isn't that much expensive so I'll order it as soon as I can thanks man

My front brake lines started to leak fluid on my 2003 GMC Yukon Denali and i'm fixing to replace the leaking ones for now and replace all the other rusted out lines after winter ( I live in Upstate NY)
I tried searching for a diagram for the brake lines from the abs and the rear proportioning...
Autoride system in my truck has been shot for years and replaced all my shocks with gas shocks and removed the oem air compressor. I also have new upper and lower control arms with balljoints etc.
I looked at that lift kit also but the amount of money I would pay for that, i feel i might as...
That makes more sense, I figured I'll install this kit while I'm replacing all my front end parts because I'm going to need an alignment anyway. This will def. help me out, thanks for all your help man.

I see, so prior to removing them to install the new ones, i should measure the length of the adjuster bolt so i can have the same position as before and i would tighten it accordingly to lift it the 2 inches?
