    Hello, my name is William....

I did some work on the C2500. The receiver was rusted in place on the hitch. I can only assume the truck was used to put a boat in the ocean since I bought it from the coast. There is no other rust on the truck. The hitch wouldn't come out so we chained it to a tree. A couple of tugs and this...

    Hello, my name is William....

I can stop any time I want... So I was perusing Craigslist the other day and I came across an and for a 99 K2500 350 engine with a blown head gasket for $650. I went to look at it. I offered him $550. So it came home with me. Not a bad looking truck on the outside. The interior is a...

Nothing new right now. I have been busier than a one armed paper hanger getting caught up on stuff that didn't get done when I was unable to stand. My wife has a full time teacher job now, which is great, but it means I have no help. I did managed to get some mechanized reinforcements. a...

No big changes. I did have to put a better set of tires on it. The bicycle tires that came on it nearly caused a couple of interesting collisions when the truck refused to stop on dry pavement. I also bought a dump trailer. It wasn't all that happy to pull it home, but it did it. And I...

I'm 6'3". Steph is 5'2". A bench seat is a wonderful thing, as long as I am driving - which is 99.7% of the time. However, after surgery she had to drive me a good bit until the doc released me to drive myself. It was a good thing the transmission in the Blazer lasted till I was released to...

I may be a bit biased, but I think the GMT400 is the best looking of all the body styles.

After having to hunt for air for a trailer tire that went low I decided to fix the problem. I snagged some scrap lumber. Some amp wire from a junk car, some screws, and turned them into a compartment for onboard air. I already had a compressor and tank so all I have invested in it is time.

I stopped for gas Friday and I noticed the back bumper on BettyBlue had been hit and the rusted part had broken through. The bumper swap (and receiver hitch install) went flawless. We had to make 3 small changes to the bumper to make it fit the stepside. However, we made the tail lights mad...

Last night I had to drive up to Statesville to look at a car with a friend. Old Betty started howling on the way back. With the dual glasspacks i couldn't really tell where it was coming from. I pulled the fill plug on the diff today. It took full 2 quarts. Hopefully it will be a bit quieter.
