    Prices Paid

Sounds like a better deal on paper since the other guy is only getting 12-15% off MRSP. How much was your 2015 suburban when you bought it?

    Prices Paid

I'd be asking for more. That Denali is only worth 80% of MRSP because the cash incentives right now are 15-20% off of MRSP on 2017's. Sure 0% but it's going to cost you thousands more in depreciation in the first year.

Cost of Ownership: Denali vs SLT

Yeah I was just curious what comments are out there. With the 4Runner, some people experience shorter brake life and on the Limited trim, the XREAS can be an issue if you have a leak because the whole suspension apparently has to be replaced. Just trying to fully understand what I might be buying.

Cost of Ownership: Denali vs SLT

I'm a pretty average user. No heavy duty or towing. Suburban driving mostly. About 12,0000mi/20,000km per year.

Cost of Ownership: Denali vs SLT

We rented a SWB SLT in Florida back in March and really enjoyed the 2 weeks we had with it. The only thing I noticed was that the suspension was very bouncy/springy over curb cut-outs when entering/exiting parking lots. Other than that SLT had a LOT of great features and I'm just not sure the...

Cost of Ownership: Denali vs SLT

A little too superficial for my liking. I prefer, "just because you have it, doesn't mean you should waste it."

Cost of Ownership: Denali vs SLT

Hi guys, Aside from MPG, higher ticket price, and therefore more depreciation to eat, what would be the big difference in ownership expenses of the Denali vs SLT? For reference, I am talking Yukon XL. If you have a Suburban LT/Premier I suppose your input could be relevant too. I understand...

    Future 2020/21 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban

Wouldn't it be more like 2022? With a lot of countries and cities over in Europe starting to ban gas engines as early as 2030 and Volvo committing to a fully electric/hybrid fleet within 10 years, I'd say the dominoes will start falling. If you want a honking V8, this just might be one of your...

Do You Regret: Short-Body vs Long-Body

Lots of women drive the long-bodies around here in Nova Scotia and then usually older men. Having said that, I see a good amount of women driving 4Runners too. I guess this day and age gender based preferences is subjective anyway haha.

    50K Mile Update

If I end up buying, I am going to have to negotiate extended warranty into the deal. It seems many random things might go wrong on these as opposed to having a few common problems. While Toyota is a bit dated and not as adventurous with their technology offering, my 4Runner drives just like it...

Refinancing - a couple of questions

I don't understand how banks in the US are offering auto loans sub-4% unless through a dealer at time of brand new purchase (in which case cost of borrowing is really built into the price).

Thank goodness for our Yukon being Flex Fuel

People posted some videos/pictures of them online. Anyway, when you have 20 million people all trying to get somewhere at the same time it is not going to be good. I also read Florida only has a gasoline reserve of 7 days based on normal consumption, so shortages were inevitable.

Thank goodness for our Yukon being Flex Fuel

You guys heading north? Stay safe! Uncle and Father had places in Palm Aire in Pompano but sold them earlier this year. Heading down in March and hope things will be OK for all down there!

    Filling Gas Tank

If you are holding the nozzle half way out of the tank then that means you are going to fill your tank up even more by the time the pump auto-stops. Therefore, "topping it off" is more likely to result in overfill.

    2017 Chevy Tahoe lease

I agree. Often the dealer advertised lease prices include large downpayments that are equivalent to $100+/month on top of the advertised payment.

    2017 Chevy Tahoe lease

Unless you own a business it probably makes more sense to buy a late model or gently owned 1 or 2 year old. Why you'd want to lease a vehicle that has 15%+ advertised discounts at the end of the model year doesn't make much sense IMO. In the case of my 2012 4Runner Limited. I had a trade and...

    Cleaning/ Detailing Products

All you need for the exterior, including wheels, is Optimum No Rinse. Best product. If you want to jazz up your tires, just buy some tire shine. On the inside, I've tried Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner but I also find just using a damp microfibre works equally as well on all interior...

Do You Regret: Short-Body vs Long-Body

Just went out to Tim Horton's to grab a coffee and on my way home I saw a big black brand new Suburban Premier (maybe LTZ) pulling out of a side street. So nice! Stop tempting me!!!

Denali vs Escalade life cycle cost

An Escalade Premium is like what, almost $100k with taxes and fees. If you are in that kind of price point, I'm surprised you'd even care. If you're concerned, just get one 1-2 years old and buy extra warranty if previous owner use worries you. You'll probably save $20k or more and have a lower...
