Just finished at 2AM because when better to work on a car stereo than after getting off swing shift 8-P. What Id did was ran the switched 12v+, constant 12v+, and light control wire to the MBEC Junction box under the das near the parking brake.
I cut all the wires from the vehicle harness...
@adriver
Clutchfield listed these as compatible front and rear.

I figure I should be able to tap into the speaker wires at the Bose amp output.
@adriver
Head unit is Pioneer AVH-P3100DVD with the Bose adapter box. I agree with the acc wire shorting to memory wire or something, but everything looks really clean and professional.
Windows and courtesy lights work as intended.
I intend to buy 4 door speaker and run my own wire.
I bought my truck with a pioneer headunit running into the Bose amp and it was working great, albeit with a ground loop whine. Recently the stereo started staying on after the truck was shut off and doors opened, although there was no sound output.
Now when the truck is running there is now...
Not a gm problem, but mechanic problem. Just like you can't change a head gasket with a screwdriver, you need the proper diagnostic tool.
What codes DO you get?
The Guv Lock is not worth adding to any vehicle. It is a grenade waiting to happen and does not add traction over 20 mph. That said I have one I'll give to anyone wanting to pay shipping, includes bearings and races.
The pinion gear doesn't need to be messed with to swap out the the diff. Jus swap your ring gear on to the new diff and set the backlash according to what you have now.
I swapped in a Yukon Duragrip a couple months ago. Backlash was 10thou before I tore it apart and 9thou going back together...
I'm considering an NP 241 swap in the distant future incorporating a cable shift. I was first thinking about incorporating an automatic trans shifter into the cup holder area of the console, from a FWD Honda or something and modifying it to shift the TC. I then started wondering if there was a...
Until it stops. Rember to stick your finger in the rear too, don't be surprised if it smell like rotten eggs. Be careful pulling dipsticks though, you don't want to blow a tranny.
How about rebuilding yours? Yours 9.5 SF 14 bolt is a desirable axle and what is generally swapped into lesser trucks.
TLDR; your rear end is desirable.
With 4WD (not AWD) the front DS does not spin in 2WD. The Center axle disconnect severs the connection at the passenger side axle shaft. Both CV axle half shafts spin, the spider gears spin, and the two halves of the passenger side axle shaft spin opposite directions. The ring gear, pinion, diff...
Installed a Yukon Duragrip yesterday. Took 7 hours in the driveway on jackstands. Reinstalled the stock shims and got .009 backlash from the original .010. I added approximately 2oz of Yukon FM and think it was more than needed as there is no chatter or tire scrubbing.
Does anyone have an example of a lunchbox locker that fits the 2004 10 bolt? I've spent a whole weekend searching and it seems nothing exists for this gen?
