Really nice looking wheels. I have an 06 Hoe, which you know already and a 17 Road Glide, mostly stock at this point.

I did figure out what this is. Its where the brake booster line would go, but I have the kind that is hooked up to the power steering pump. I was wondering why it was connected that way and since this is my first LS1 engine, i havent seen where the brake booster normally connects.

I have the 295HV pump which is more volume and pressure than the standard 295 and more than the 10295 pump. I think my problem may not be oil pump related(but not 100%). The cam I installed in the car, does cause an idle issue with stock tune. Its mild, but yet, once CL is in effect, the...

Glad we got through that! since its not that hard to do, but I'll wait until its warmer out, I'll pull the front open again and check that oil pump. And the way in the video is how you have to do it, if you dont drop the oil pan. Because you have to remove the rotors in the pump in order to...

UPDATE: went in saturday and removed the intake manifold and injectors. Since my gasket kit had injector seals, I went ahead and removed the rail, removed injectors, cleaned them, remplaced seals, put them on the rail and let them soak in some carb cleaner. they all looked clean inside...

It was the oil pump I was referring to. If you look it up, on the gerotors, there are dimples, you dont really see them, at least I didnt at first, there is no reference to them in the instructions I found while doing this work. I found it while looking for reasons why my oil pressure is low...

Yeah, i am sure of the 0ring being the correct one. I received one set with the new oil pump and another with the gasket set, both said to use the Green one as i had the Red/Orange one on originally(if i am remembering it correctly). i tried to look at the ring when i had to pull it back out...

This cam is designed to work with the stock tune. Melling MTC-7. However, I am not totally convinced that to be the case. My biggest hunch is i have an air/vacuum leak in the intake manifold. this weekend, my neighbor is lending me his garage and we are going to do a few things. remove...

i do not have VLOM, this is not an AFM engine. I triple checked the pickup tube during its install. the first time i installed it, i saw it was crooked, so i loosened up the oil pump again, and removed the tube, then reconnected, this time being extra careful to get the tube in straight and...

well, based on the several dozen articles and videos , not one person mentioned that. some were reputable shops/mechanics, some were billy bob redneck. also, no one mentioned the little dimple on the oil pump gear that must be facing out when installed. of course I didnt find that out until i...

Thanks for the info. I've heard about that Cam bearing issue. Like I said, the oil pressure sensor wasnt working before this work and supposedly put on a higher volume pump too.

Random small dip in revs at idle

mine started something similar. happens when its warmed up from driving. it wasnt so bad when i upped the RPM's 100 with my tuner. but i want to fix it, so i put it back to stock RPM.

I had a stuck lifter. Decided to go in and figure it out on my own and replace what I could. found the lifter, number6, replaced all lifters, honed out the one in 6 that was stuck. replaced rods, oil pump, water pump, cam sensor, oil presssure sensor(it wasnt working the last few years)...

2001 Silverado Lifter ticking with cold

Lets also not forget how these are notorious for eventually experiencing a failed lifter. I had the same problem, but mine was more related to 'freshness' of oil. Seriously, with fresh oil, no ticking from the 'valve/lifter' area. After a couple thousand miles, it would start to tick...

    Useless Information

I have an 06 Z71. 190K on it, still purring. I know I'm probably on borrowed time since I doubt anything has ever been replaced internally. but I can tell you this. I have had several different driving styles , due to different financial times the last 3 years, and by staying under 70, not...

Has anyone modified their sunroof wind deflector?

I have an 06 Z71. If you crack the rear windows open an inch or so,, the sound is very quiet with teh sunroof open. it balances out the air pressure causing all the buffeting.

Extremely noisy engine now quiet. Here's how I did it.

lots of oil. but still cheaper than a mechanic!

    4x2 v. 4x4

Is Laura really that good? I have heard their name before in the forums. I live near there, bought my Gran Prix there in 2005, but felt I was taken advantage of,, my fault, i know.. but if they are good to deal with on the truck/suv's,, i might have to give them another look
