Props to Ceasar from Lightwerkz. I sent him an email asking if the screws for the bulb holders were prone to breaking off in the back of the reflector.
He sent me an email back and said to get him a picture and he would send me a new reflector housing and screws.
So now I've got to get the...
I thought it was strange myself. I realized it when we replaced his ECU. It has the TAC (throttle actuated control) module mounted up on the firewall in the drivers side top corner.
I myself, having never owned a GMT800, have never done a ton of research on them but I always assumed they were...
So my drivers side cutoff is nice and straight.
The passenger side, not so much.
After aiming them I tried to remove the base of the Motoholder so I could get to the nut to tighten it up more and when I tried to unscrew the tiny little screws I thought the projector may have rotated but I...
Basically the same... I just hope everything turned out level.
I am not terribly happy with the way these DNA (Chicom) headlights fit, but it is too late now.
Not to side track here too much, but I noticed when looking at RA that all of the FPCMs listed say they have to be programmed EXCEPT for the Dorman. It says it comes preprogrammed which I found interesting. Not sure exactly how that works but that is what it says.
I'm not saying your pump is definitely the problem either. Personally I am just glad that my testing shows, what appears to me, that there is an issue with my pump and that corresponds with my hunch and that article mentioned earlier in this thread.
If the new pump cures the miscalculations of...
Here are the pages from the factory service manual that I found to be relevant...
I hooked up the Tech2 tonight and I am more convinced that it is the fuel pump, at least in my case.
Following the service manual it states that KOEO should be between 50-60 psi and should remain steady for 5...
I can verify that my Tech2 can see the fuel pump control module on my 2008 5.3l LMG VIN 0 flex fuel Suburban LTZ.
So I am guessing the 2007 doesn't have that option, which seems strange.
I haven't checked pressures at the rail.
I have seen the fuel pressure on the Tech2 and it was always real close to 43.5psi but I never watched it while accelerating hard or anything. I will definitely plug it in and do some observational testing before hand.
After reading the article that...
This is what I am thinking too, I just wasn't sure what the service manual said as I haven't dug into it yet. I am certain there is a "proper procedure" for swapping the fuel pump.
Thanks George, I saw them when I Google them earlier.
Fortunately I have no use for them currently as I recently swapped out my leaking radiator for the all aluminum Cold Case radiator. I also have the Gruven billet heater core T-connectors and the Dorman aluminum Y-connector for down by the...
Or you could wait until my fuel pump gets swapped and see if it clears up my issue and then you will know.
On another note, thinking about the new fuel pump...
Do you think I should use the Tech2 to reset the fuel pump trim and/or the LTFT/STFT/E% after the new pump goes in or should I just...
Keep in mind that when you swap tunes it takes 100-150 miles for the fuel trims to level out, that is why Lew tells you to drive the truck that distance before logging again.
I have never even heard of these. That is pretty wild.
In the old days I heard old timers talk about adding black pepper to the radiator to temporarily seal up leaks.
